I just bought a new Mac OS X two weeks ago and so far I love it. Not being a computer wizard, I can't make a comment on system comparisons, but this product is great. There is no doubt that when you buy a Mac, you buy the store. My local Apple Store must have 15 people or more working there and no matter when I go, the place is jammed with customers. I paid the extra $99.00 for the One to One instruction and so far I'm not disappointed. HappyDad

When you look at this issue from a NORMAL human understanding........then any young guy would LOVE to be the victim of someone like her. After all.......isn't she a good looking female? Now......before you hang me by my gonads.......this response is meant to just state a point of view. Bottom line is..............if it is a female that is the pedophile.........then it isn't all that bad! But when it is a man..............God forbid! He will have his nuts crushed in a vise. In this so called enlightened world......there are still multiple standards when it comes to who is the one who commited the crime. As a man.........if you even say to an underaged girl that she looks sexy......you could face jail time. But if a woman....even someone as good looking as Letoureau ( or however you spell it) wants in your pants.........she could get away with it because the entire world thinks that a male can't be sexually abused by a female. Especially one as good looking as her. They all think he really wanted it and encouraged it. In this case.......yeah........the kid LOVED what he got between her legs even though he was underage. There are thousand of cased where girls and boys were married before they were 18 and who are we to say anything negative about it if they are consenting? Soooooooooooo...........a man on the jury (someone such as I) might be persuaded to think that there was no crime) But that COULD be totally wrong. A male jurist would be thinking with his LITTLE head instead of formulating a condemnation in this particular case. I hope I never have to be on a jury with this problem, HappyDad

How about Duane (spelling) Van Buren from the Pittsburgh, Pa area. I met him about 1979 or 1980. A short while after......he went to Brooklyn Bethel He was a nice person and I wonder what he is doing these days. He should be about 50 or so now. HappyDad

Twelve years ago when I first got online......AOL...........I met a JW girl from the high desert country of Oregon. Her name was Cindy and from her picture.....I saw the most beautiful bedroom eyes I've ever seen in my life. She really was a knockout and we spent a lot of time on the phone. My long distance bills were outrageous at that time. She was working for FedExpress and also fixed some kind of back flow plumbing valves (she was raised in a family where her father was a plumber). At that time......she had a daughter about 19 who would be in her early 30's now and a son about 10. Her husband was comatose for many years in their early days and I'm not sure if it was because of an accident or whatever. Anyhow......for so many years of being alone.........she was DF'd after the bros told her that she could end the marriage if she............??? She did and they crucified her! She wanted to get married soooooooo badly...and my heart bled for her........I wished we were not 3000 miles apart. She eventually met a JW bro online and went and married him without knowing much about him. As most hasty JW marriages go......it was probably for ????? I'm pretty sure she moved to northern California where her family was. If you have any inkling who I'm talking about.....please let me know. I'd love to talk with her again. I still have her picture and if she any way resembles it......she is gorgeous today too! HappyDad

west123 My first mothers day without you..I don't have the words to describe how much I wish we celebrated mother's day all of these years. I didn't need a special day to show you I loved you but I bet you did. You were my mother everyday of the year, day in and day out, if I needed you and even when I thought I didn't. And now tomorrow I will bring flowers to your grave and pray to God to wake up from the nightmare I'm in. Wherever you are I love you, and will be giving you my love and respect in the best way I know how tomorrow, and everyday... WOW..........that is powerful and I thank you for your words. HappyDad

Mothers Day can bring up many issues for some of us.
For some their mothers have passed away and the opportunity to say I love you in person is forever lost. Thanks for bringing this up LL. My mother passed away in June of 1998.....two months after my dad passed. We had a great relationship and I wish she (and he) were still here so I could tell them how good my life is now that I'm not a JW. My mom was DF's in 1972 or 73 because of the smoking issue and never returned even though I picked her up for the meetings for many years. She kept hold of the religion for my sake.....always saying that someday she would kick the habit and return. I'm sure she felt that by doing that.....my wife, daughter, and I would not forsake her.
My wife died 2 years previous to the death of my parents and little would I know that at that time the seeds of discontent and fading away had already started to grow. It took a couple of years more for those seeds to become full grown.
To make a long story short............I wish my mom......and my dad were still here so I could tell them even more how much I love them and that I am sorry that I wasn't a COMPLETE son to either of them because of blindly following the doctrines of men in Brooklyn over natural love that they both showed to me and my daughter. My dad never was a JW and I'm thankful that my daughter has also been liberated from the borg.
HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO ALL

That was great MsMcD..............
The kids should live a normal life......not a narrowminded borg life! In 1989 when I was still an elder, I let my daughter go to the prom and nothing was said to me at all by the rest of the yoyo's.
I hope she and you have a wonderful life.
