The Master spoke to me this morning. . .
by Inkie inthis morning as i lay lying in bed i was listening to music on the radio station on my headset.
when i do this, i do this so as not to disturb the wife while she is sleeping.
only this morning, she had already risen and was downstairs getting ready to go to work and just about to walk out the door.

Yikes! Even though I am now a church going Christian, this would scare me away from being one if I wasn't already a believer. Too many religious kooks in the world....from Christian to Zen! Talk about how to turn a potential Christian off....yikes again!

From 2000-2003.....probably less than a dozen times. That was after I read COC. Last meeting after quite a long hiatas was memorial of 2003 because of guilt feelings. Haven't been back since and do not intend to. No more guilt whatsoever!

What have you achieved after leaving the Watchtower Organization?
by anewme ini was curious to read what you have achieved and accomplished since leaving the watchtower society?.
in your opinion are you heading toward the success of your goals?.
personally i am determined to have something near the life i was meant to have before the watchtower organization got a hold of my mind and bent it towards their own purposes and uses.. i think many here would be overjoyed to hear of your successes!.

Total happiness. It didn't happen all at once but when I made new friends and saw that they were not "satanically" controlled as I was always told.......I realized they were just like me........wanting a happy life.
These days.....I don't even think about once being a JW until I check in to this site to see how others are getting along.
There isn't much I can do, but my heart goes out to all who have to try to make a new life beyond JW. Many of the experiences make me just shudder.

Instrucitons for using the toilet at the convention (pic)
by maninthemiddle inthis was posted in the men's room stall, i hear the instructions in the womens room was more detailed.. this was in addition to having a "bathroom attendant" handing out 1 paper towel per person.. i haven't felt so childish since i was in grade schooll, i had to wonder if all the tall people around me were really grown men and women.. .

Want to be mean in the bathroom? Take a tube of "blueing" which is usually used in machine shops for fitting parts and put some around the toilet seat. It's best if the toilet seat is black, then the blueing won't be seen. The stuff is very difficult to get off of your fingers so use some of that toilet paper to smear it.

Unless there is an internet Armageddon, the WTBTS will continue on it's downhill decline. My memories of over 30 years of being obedient are starting to seem like a bad dream and that the reality of my involvement never happened. I sure love my life these days.

Drew,
I sent you a PM. congrats and good sailing. It's been a pleasure and we still need to meet up one of these days. My life has been changing also and I view things somewhat differently than I used to.
Take care and say hi to that wonderful lady you are married to.

God, Gays & Evangelicals
by alice.in.wonderland inwhile participating on this website (one of the only three places i've discussed religion online) i asked a question:.
i've observed quite a few posts and comments here about religious intolerance toward gay men and women (i'm quoting), the terror and murder of homosexuals instigated by christians.
the religion i was raised in was in agreement with the bible based view that alternative lifestyles are immoral but they never instigated any hateful rhetoric toward gay men or women.

Bottom line.........according to the Bible, homosexuality is wrong! The churches I have attended along with the one I am a member of now, have condemned the act, not the person. In fact, we have talked about it in depth. We would welcome any person, gay, straight, or whatever to attend but would not try to browbeat them about their lifestyle. And we would not be unfriendly toward them. If they question, then we use only the scriptures to show that the practice is wrong. You can argue point and counterpoint forever but to a Bible believing person, you will never win.
