  How many here smoke?

  i don't and am very unlikely to after seeing my father dying of a smoking related lung disease (even though i would like to try a high quality cigar).. but i am curious to see how many people take up smoking after leaving the org.. .

  I'm sorry to say that being a non smoker for 35+ years......I started again about 5-6 years ago. Damn hard to quit I must say.

  Getting old really stinks. When we hear about those who entertained us in the past.......passing away......it kind of hurts. It can happen to any of us any day.

  Would you support "Open Carry" legislation in your state?

  Open carry....NO! Concealed carry.....YES! All open carry will do is scare people. Concealed carry is for your own protection and that of others.

  HappyDad (who carries a concealed .380 S & W semi or my .38 special +P snub nose).

  P.S. Everyone who gets the carry permit should have to go through some type of training though!

  If you are going to take the responsibility of maybe having to lethaly defend yourself or others, then you need to know how to do it properly. Not just fire at random!

  back in the 1950s, much to her family's dismay, nancy was not interested in spending her life as a jw and left the group when she was 16. she married a fledgling banker at an early age (probably to escape the jws and her family), moved from dallas, texas, to apple valley, calif., and had three children.

  Wonderful! Thank you Barbara and Nancy. I need to get a copy of this book.....read it and send it to my daughter who left one year before I did and now is very successful in her career. What a wonderful life all can live once the shackles of repression are gone.

  Enjoy your sky dive. My daughter did her first one (tandem) in March 2011 in Florida where she lives. I made sure I was there to see her do it. It was a free fall from 14,000 feet and the chute was opened at 2000 feet. She paid extra to have a video made and it was fantastic. I was on the ground about 100 feet from where she landed. She did her second one two months later and also had a video made of it. After that she said she could spend the money on better things. At least she did it!

  If I remember right, you could be called into the back room if the elders heard you did something like that.

  it's absurd to let illegal immigrant children enroll in first grade and then years later after they graduate from high school or college expect them to return to their foreign place of birth as adults.. "the florida board of bar examiners, which grants membership to the bar, has asked the state supreme court to determine whether it can accept someone who is not in the country legally.

  the supreme court flagged the case as "high profile" last week.. "no one who has shown this guy's level of contempt for american law should be practicing law," said william gheen, president of americans for legal immigration, a political action committee that opposes amnesty for undocumented immigrants.. tom fitton, president of the conservative watchdog group judicial watch, agreed.. "he can't practice as a lawyer," fitton said.

  I agree with Moshe 100%. Those of you who think that everything is ok with illegals and any other liberal cause that hurts the majority in this country are just hastening the downfall of what this country once was. Eventually we will be a third world country and then lets see how you feel!

  Everyone should already know by life experience that no matter who gets elected from whatever party they are associated with......that we the public always get screwed. So why argue one candidate over the other? You are just another grain of sand in their grand scheme to promote their agenda.
