  1975 Research (sorry, even more!)

  here's a document from the time, which exposed 1975 as it was unfolding.. i've also attached a document which is an unstructured collection of 1975 observations, reasoning on the wt teachings and comments, and looking at how they republished certain books with changes to hide their 1975 teachings etc.. if anyone fancies sorting through these they might find a new angle not previously considered.. however the bottom line is that there is a ton of evidence that wt were pedaling 1975 to the masses for years.how they try to turn around today to pretend otherwise is nothing short of hypocritical cowardice..

  My awkward elders hearing

  i was baptized when i was 14 years old.

  i hadn't had any real relationship with a girl up to that point.

  but when i started going to high school i learnt the joys of experimenting with girls, so i did not stay a faithful member of the congregation for long.

  When I was an elder from 1986 to 1991 I had to sit on a JC with a young brother who I was close to. He had committed sexual immorality and confessed. I could never bring myself to ask those idiotic graphic questions but the one elder I swear got off with the questions he asked. My reasoning is that JC's are as close to getting off for some elders as looking at porn. They don't look at porn (as far as I know) but they just love hearing the dirtiest and most intimate details. I will never forget the questions the elder asked. "Did you ejaculate"? ans. "Yes". "Where did you ejaculate"? ans. 'In her mouth". I almost lost it on that one. It was all I could do to not laugh out loud. So happy that I quit when I did. Such a bullshit religion. Jesus didn't ask the sinners to go into detail about what they did. He just said they were forgiven and to sin no more.

  Another Burnt Out Elder

  young elder(mid-thirties) in my congregation stepped down last night.

  nicest guy, with two lovely kids, a great supportive wife.. it got to be too much, as the other elders are practically useless, let him do all the hard work, while they did all the "important" stuff.

  literally ran him ragged.. he's still in good standing, gave the final prayer.

  I was also a burnt out elder serving in the Whitaker/West Mifflin, PA cong. from 1986 to 1991. The other power hungry elders gradually took my "soul" and destroyed it. Best thing I ever did was to step down. Then I gradually learned the TTAT even though it took almost another 10 years.

  which world is this?_________________when the doctor pulled my screaming body out of mom all those 7 decades ago, i landed in a post-wwii world.it was--compared to today's world--an alien planet.. the world i live in today has nothing in common with the world in which i grew up.. there were no cell phones back then--there were black telephones with a dial-tone and an operator who placed your call.

  everywhere you found telephone booths!

  a call was a nickle.where did all those telephone booths go?i dunno.where did my whole world go?i dunno.. tv sets were huge boxes with tubes and small screens.

  What Were Your Elders Real World Jobs?

  we all know that education is severely demonized in this religion.

  and that the elders are appointed based on how many meetings they attend, hours they put in on the ministry and general attitude to other elders (as apposed to, you know, actual theological training and counseling) - so my question is, what were your elders occupations outside the kingdom hall?.

  in my old congregation our elders consisted of:.

  Factory worker

  Hospital kitchen worker

  Electrical engineer (got his education before becoming a JW)

  Salesman

  Heating and air-conditioning business owner

  Personnel manager (educated before becoming a JW)

  Project manager for an engineering company

  Kingdom Hall sold. Now a mosque.

  so much for dedicating the kingdom hall, hallfields lane, peterborough, .

  pe4 7yh for 'true worship(tm)'.. it's now a mosque.. not that i care anymore, i have finished thinking much about the jobos.

  moved on and glad of it.. just thought you'd be interested.. now i'll sod off again for another few months.

  In the Oakland section of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania is the old Central Kingdom Hall. In it's heyday, it was the number one KH in the tri-state area (PA, Ohio and West Virginia). It is where most people were baptized from the 1950's into the 1970's when the assembly hall was built. It is also the home cong. of Al Schroeder who became a bigwig in Brooklyn.

  The place was sold a number of years ago and is now a big deal Islamic center.

  putting it simply, kingdom halls are no longer the property of a local group of the folks that paid for and constructed it.

  the lender, the watchtower society, now says that once a mortgage is satisfied, that congregation must then declare a resolution which says it will continue to make payments, usually equal to the amount they were paying on the mortgage.

  and they must do so indefinitely.

  And to think....back in the 1960's and 70's when I first came in contact with JW's, they constantly condemned all religions for their asking for money and tithing. Back then the JW's had something in the line of credibility in some small way. Today they are no better, and in many ways worse than mainstream religion. The Christian churches today whether they are small, big, or mega.....are all supported by generous free will giving. Their hard earned money isn't stolen from them like it is from the JW's who donate, work, or whatever else they do to be approved by men.
