Is it me or is John Cedars channel becoming a self important circle fest
by phoenixrising ini still like the commentary on the jw.org monthly’s, i can skip through some parts.
but it seems like he is pushing too hard to put out videos and the quality is getting very low on the content..

I don't even like to look at John Cedars. He always looks like he just woke up after a drunken night on the town. Hair messed up, and a wanna be beard facial hair. At least he could clean up his act a little.

The churches haven't been getting any money and Trump wants the Evangelical vote. Problem solved. The churches can fleece the flock again and Trump will get their votes.

by Maria Nieves ini am no longer a study.
during the onset of the pandemic the person who used to be my bible study teacher began to reach out to me.

Letter writing is the new norm. My daughter got a letter from her JW uncle who disowned my daughter and I many years ago because we left the borg. The letter was him reminiscing about the past when all the kids were little and we had such a great time together. He even asked about me. Go figure! No witnessing in the letter but he enclosed a tract.
None of that family was even concerned enough to see if we were ok when hurricane Irma destroyed our town of Bonita Springs, Florida in 2017. We had to evacuate to Georgia for 5 days.
My daughter thought about writing back and being nasty because all of a sudden he thought about us?? Yeah, right!
She laughed and said she would tell uncle ….. that I live with her but since I converted to Islam, that 5 times a day praying was getting to her. LOL
I was looking at a JW's Facebook page and she and another JW talked about writing more letters. A friend of my daughter got a letter from an anonymous JW with a tract also.

How to CYA (cover your ass) Watchtower style
by eyeuse2badub intoday’s watchtower article was the ultimate cya.
for friggin’ decades all we heard was that as armageddon gets nearer and nearer, the number of the ‘great crowd’ will increase and the number of the “little flock” will decrease!
in fact, it was one of the proofs that the end was near!.

I can't help but laugh where my mind just went. Instead of the CYA, I thought of KYAG. (Kiss Your Ass Goodbye) Watchtower style.

Here in my area of Minnesota, we have the CCEFS (Christian Cupboard Emergency Food Shelf).
It is operated by a local Catholic Church and ANYONE is welcome to partake of their generosity.
I have been there and people of all denominations come for help. Even the local Mormons are volunteers there.
People of all races also come for aid. We have a large Hmong and Muslim presence here also.
It's human helping human get by with the necessities of life.
Another organization in this area is Second Harvest which provide a lot of food to the CCEFS. Many grocery stores and other food establishments donate hundreds of pounds of food and meat, poultry and whatnot each week for those who need.
I cannot fathom the JW's helping anyone, let alone taking care of their own in this or any time of cricis/crices. (sp)

Two decades of borderline doubt coupled with the lack of love and the way the elders treated my daughter, then reading Crisis Of Conscience in 1998 helped me to finally make an escape.
