our family does ok, as in we pay the bills every month and aren't in debt, thats on around $1.5k pm, and I can say easily that we're a LOT more well off than the average family in this country. I know cost of living is cheaper here, but there are plenty of families that have no employed people and survive off one persons pension, I'm talking 4-5 kids 2-3 adults living of $80-$90 per month. With unemployment here at around 35% its not easy for people to dig themselves out..
Maybe you people should reconsider your financial situations a little bit and realise that you are actually doing ok -

i dont really believe in it but now and again i get a nagging fear of "what if we're all wrong and it is true" and boom big lighting rods and earthquakes come and shatter us all and i think damn and i almost beat jah on this one .
its so silly i know im right about my decison to leave the dubs but they psychologicaly messed with us for so long sometimes your like woah what if theyre right!.

I still get the odd paranoia, I've made the wrong choice, I'm gonna die. Having the armagedon theory driven into my head my whole life is going to take a while to fix.
Strangely though I don't believe in the resurrection or any life after death, maybe I'm just confused.
Think of all the things you hated when you where in the org, what drove you to leave, all the false prophecies they have made and their forever changing new light.. you should start to wonder how you ever believed it in the first place. -

Did Being a JW Make You a Bully VICTIM in SCHOOL?

it made me think back to all the times i was treated differently in school for being a jehovah's witness.
i grew up in a predominately mexican community and went to public school there from 1st-12th grade as a jw.

its hard dealing with this.. my mother wants us to have one meal together as a family, so I try but then we sit in silence because any topic I bring up always ends up with it being a sign of the great tribulation, the last days, what someone gave a talk about at the meeting.. I've given up trying to argue, she just ignores the fact that I'm totally disinterested in jw conversation with her, but she is forever telling me that people miss me at meetings and would love to see me come back, people I never liked or talked to in the first place..
I jsut want to leave, but circumstances are preventing that..
