  So much for "fading"... we're out!

  gina just got off the phone with her mom.

  we were tired of lying to these otherwise nice people, not to mention disinfecting the car of all "worldly" paraphenalia, and fearing the inevitable "pop-in" visit while holiday decorations are up.

  she felt bad about it, and so did i. but now it's over.

  You may not think this now but god your lucky!

  We desperatly want to make a clean break and get out, but we have grown up kids still in and I cant take the risk of shunning.

  I am so full of remorse for not seeing the truth when our kids where little.

  I know it must be hard for your wife, if her mother has stopped speaking already and im not trying to minimize it, but in our case although half my family are in the org, if it wasnt for my kids id leave and risk the shunning from them

  The strain of leading a doulble life when you are fading is sometimes unbearable. When things get bad, just look at your children and their future and be happy youve done the right thing

  I tried drilling through my hand today!

  i tried drilling through my hand today, but it didn't work.

  i was drilling a hole, and the drill slipped and sliced up my index finger.

  how come the bigger injuries hurt less?

  I read about someone years ago who had a mental illness, and drilled a few holes in his head. He said it was a medical procedure that his doctors wouldnt perform

  He claimed it cured his ilnness?????????????

  curries ummmmmmmmmm--------

  as a british family our favorite food is curry, but lately this has got out of hand, were eating about 3 a week .

  either home made or takeaway.

  when the kids were small i would always make a dinner with meat and veg, but now its gone ridiculous we are addicted.. i hate thinking about what im going to make for the evening meal, its so boring.

  if you were able to have any cosmetic procedure, payed for and no risk.

  I am very sensitive but wish I wasnt, I can lie awake all night worrying about what someone has said

  I hate to think people think badly of me, it really irritates my husband,he just tells me to forget it, but how do you. I do easily forgive people though, too easily sometimes, when they apologize for something I mostly end up apologizing to THEM how mad is that!!!

  I wish I could give people a piece of my mind, and sometimes tell them to +" off. Is that how you spell it?

  Did you ever report yourself to the elders for wrongdoing?

  i remember when i got baptized in 1983 i tried to forget about a sexual encounter that i had had while i was going over my baptismal questions.

  the night that i was going to confess all to the elders a friend of mine in the same congregation was "reproved" for conduct unbecoming of a christian.

  before the reproof was read the elders gave a 20 min talk on premarital sex that was going on in the congregations.

  I knew someone who got DFS about 14years ago as a teenager, then decided to come back, a couple of years ago and told the elders about what everybody did, some people got DFS or public reproof , after all those years cos they hadnt confessed. These people were now married with kids!!!!!

  They had been up to usual teenage stuff, going to nightclubs, smoking dope, sex.

  I dont know why they dont install the good old confession box and have done with it, at least with the catholics its anonymous

  I never confessed to anything that was nobodys business I also dicouraged my kids to.

  I would always pray about it and if I had a guilty concience I just prayed a bit more.
