  how long did it take for you to revert back to your old ways of thinking, reasoning and attitudes from before you were a witnes .

  eg i lived with my husband before we got married, then learned it was wrong.

  now i see so many witness getting married too young (cos they want sex) that i dont think its such a bad idea.

  Spirit Directed... what exactly does that mean?

  the wts is always saying that it is "spirit directed".. what exactly does that mean?

  does any of the literature ever actually define "spirit directed"?.

  in the past the literature said that angels came down and told russel and ruthorford what "truth" was... then when their "truth" started to fail, the wts started using the phrase "spirit directed".. is this just a way of saying "god controls us, but we are not accountable for any errors made"?.

  I always thought, until recently, that all the anointed read the bible and the spirit activated all of them, so that they would start sending in letters about a certain scripture and how they felt about the meaning of it.

  Then the GB would then have a meeting and say " Hey, weve had some letters from the F and D slave, about this specific scripture and they have all come up with the same conclusion. We must look into it and if needs be change our policy or doctrine on this matter"

  How niave was I. I didnt know they would be investigated and maybe Dfs.

  I didnt even think the anointed could be Dfs except for fornication or the like. Silly me

  WHAT IMPACT WOULD A UFO LANDING HAVE ON RELIGION?

  i was watching independence day last week, and i got to thinking "what would happen if a ufo (or several for that matter), did land on earth?

  what effect would this event have on religions that teach that god has only created life on planet earth?

  specifically, how do you think the governing body would attempt to explain this to 6,000,000 people that they've told in no uncertain terms, that there is no other intelligent life out there.

  Jw view of resurrection: will it be you who is resurrected???

  i have always had a problem even when a jw with the wtbs view on the bodily resurrection.

  if your body is destroyed following death, and there is no soul, what then is being resurrected???.

  ?.....its a new body and only a recording of your thoughts that was in gods memory that is put into this new body......how can it truly be the same person???

  I wasnt bothered if it was truly "me" as long as I had my memory and my body was at least 30lb lighter

  It didnt like the thought of going round naked until I was purrrrrrrfect!

  I remember a talk where the brother told us we shouldnt start a prayer with "Dear Jehova"

  And another when the PO TOLD us we should start the day with a 20 minute prayer like he did

  how often do you get your rubbish/refuse collected?

  where i live they have just changed it to ever 2 weeks!

  in between they just collect papper and recyclable stuff.

  I was really pleased when we got wheely bins, they looked so big! But they soon fill up and if the lid was a tiny bit open they wouldnt empty them. They would just stick a really patronising message on it

  Or is it completely different now you are a Jew?

  Did the WT hi-jack the OT? I have always felt they did. They way they have twisted scriptures in the NT have they done the same with the OT?
