  after a discussion with a couple of current jws, it's come to my attention that my conception of perfection in "the kingdom" is very different from theirs.

  on pages 188 & 189 of the knowledge book, we see the society's (or artist's) conception.

  I've heard so many perfection theories. The funniest one has to be from a trekkie in the congregation. For some reason, Star Trek is wildly popular in my congregation. I'm constantly hearing people talk about Enterprise. One of the trekkies gave this explanation:

  They believe that since we will be perfect, humanity will create perfect technology, and will explore space with it. He was heavily implying that Earth would become very much like the Federation, and we would meet other races that Jehovah had created on other planets. His whole argument fell apart when I asked "What about the Klingons? If we met some hostile alien race and they had weapons, but we didn't, wouldn't they blow us up?" He nearly choked.

  That leads to an interesting question. What about technology in the new system? What do they think about that?

  I don't feel bad at all

  i was with my kids at the laundry mat washing my huge duvet comforter and right in the middle of one of the table i saw 2 awake magazines.

  i didn't even think or ponder on the moment i just went mad and ripped them up right infront of everyone.

  i didn't care i thought to myself i saved someone that day.

  Me and this other guy in the congregation have "dangerous" tastes in music, and we were happy as hell when we heard about Prince. Whenever someone would try to "correct" us for talking about music, we'd point out that Prince is a dub now and they'd shut up.

  religion is rarely covered in poular entertainment, so who knows?

  there could be a plethora of jw characters in popular televison and movies, and we don't even know it!.

  for example, what about bill lumberg (the boss) from the movie "office space?

  a group of swimmers has told how a pod of dolphins protected them from a great white shark off new zealand's coast.

  the lifeguards were training at a beach near whangarei on the north island when they were menaced by a 3-metre shark, before the dolphins raced in to help.

  Humans think they're smarter than dolphins because humans have achieved wonderful things, like television, New York and others, while dolphins just play in the water all day. Dolphins think they're smarter than humans for the exact same reason.
