Minimus, we are all doing fine, thanks for asking. I am not here often, but I check in once in a while, and try to "stir up a bees nest" occasionally.
I hope all is well with you, too. Min.
I plan to be here more often, in the future. I need to "study, study, study".

Sorry, people, for hijacking my own thread.

Are BAPTIZED Jehovah's Witnesses allowed to go to a Catholic Priest's funeral?
Would Elders allow this? (Without them being reproved)?
This is important. I'm sure not many, if any, have come across this situation, but I have, and I'd like to know the absolute truth about it.
I'm told "it is a conscience matter", even for baptized Jehovah's Witnesses.
Is there anyone here, active Elder maybe, or anyone else, who could find out the true answer for me?
Thanks.
Hubert
i wonder if anyone can find the stats for this, i'm doing a slight bit of research for a question.
any help is greatly appreciated..

couldn't help myself ... maybe the devil made me do it.
there i was shopping, noticed three young men with backpacks...guatemalan, maybe early twenties.
seemed very out of place and nervous.. after about a 1/2 an hour i looked up ......and right there in the aisle where they were ... was a jw ... pushing and i mean pushing the 'image' tract and some books onto these boys.. you'd think they could understand every word the jdub was saying, 'cause he just carried on with his sermon.
I think you did a fantastic job ! I don't think anyone could have done better.

i would like to meet more brothers and sisters around the area.
as in the congregation i go to there is more adults than young people .
we having..
Why do you want to meet people from this site, Becky, so you can turn them in and make points?
Just asking.
Hubert
i bet there's a lot of jws in "good standiing" that frequent this place.. what do you think?
?.
I would LOVE to find out one of my jw relatives are posting here. I would set up a meeting asap, and work on a plan to get all of my relatives (that are in), out of this horrible cult.

only one is a guy...a mini serve .
one is a reg pioneer.... all are actually pretty key to my biz....three have been there over 20 years (ya...i am a great boss!!!).
how much pressure are they going to get to quit working for me???.
Hang in there until one of them leaves. Then, lower the boom. Start your "expansion". If any of your jw employees squawk, just tell them, because of so and so leaving, I know now that you may not be trusted, so I need to cover myself in case this happens again. That puts the ball in their hand.

hi- i just wanted to say that i have been checking the website out for a few weeks and have read some horror stories and some sad ones.
but i have been studying with witnessess for about six months and can't help but feel that they're completely sincere and maybe even, the true religion.
i love the watchtower and awake and to me, none of that seems crazy.
Penelope, the ONLY reason the J.W.'s seem to have
the right answer is because the have "canned answers". I have a j.w. elders bible that has an addition to it called "Reasoning from the scriptures".
All this is, is a bunch of canned answers to most obvious questions that a "worldly person" would ask a j.w., at their door. This doesn't mean they are "spirit directed".
I'll give you an example..... P. 65....If a person (at the door) says...."Everyone has his own interpretation of the Bible". You might reply..."And, obviously, not all of them are right". Then, perhaps add...""Twisting scripture to fit our own ideas can result in lasting harm"...(and so on).
And, yes, that last statement can result in lasting harm, and that's exactly what the Watchtower Society does....twist scriptures by using them out of context. See what I mean?

the down side of having a name like raveen is that names don't mean anything to me.
all people become nothing... any odd name people undesrsand?
i was called she... you... not my name for most of my life... that made me not care what your name was.... so i don't know people i want to know!!!
This could turn out ot be a funny topic, Raveen.
When I was in the military, many years ago, we had guys that had some really wierd names.
One day, I was in the base theater, watching a movie with three or four hundred other servicemen, and if you were "on call", and you were in the theater, you had to give your name at the front desk in case you got a call to go to work. Well, all of a sudden, the movie attendant called out...."Phone call for George washington". The whole place roared with laughter. We all looked around to see who was going to get up from his seat. Hee, hee.
