I remember a few that used to be on the radio, like "Lights out", and (If I remember correctly) Burns and Allen, Lone Ranger, twilight zone. It was fun, because you could visuallize your own scene.

shows like fibber mcgee and molly, the great gildersleeve, jack benny, lux theatre, the shadow, inner sanctum and tons more.
the best part is that a lot of these shows are available for download off the internet in mp3 format.

I have a real problem with movies....Like, when Chuck Norris goes into a hangar, or warehouse, with an 8 shot pistol, shoots 40 guys that are shooting at him with machine guns, and I think he didn't even get scratched, or maybe he got an arm wound. Yeah, right !!

Strange Deaths in Bethel recently?

the report says that the jw in brooklyn are a bit disturbed about recent cases of death which included some younger members of the bethel family.
can anybody confirm this?

Bryan, If you go to the Hall,, don't make a scene because I would. I'm just telling you if it was me. I wouldn't want anybody to take that advice. It's really not the way to go. However, when I told my wife about your situation, she said to telll you she will pray every day for you, that you have a better relationship with your daughter, and my wife also teaches ccd, (Catholic religious instruction) for 5th graders, and she said she will have all her students pray for you.

Sorry to hear this, Bryan. I agree with Gumby, Quotes, and wild horses, you should go to the KH, if it's not too late. Some day, she will be happy that you were there for her, if not today.
I would have gone if it was my daughter, but I would have made a scene.

Cruzanheart<> I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your Dad. My (our) sincere condolances go out to you. Thank you very much for re-posting this for me. I'm sure it must hurt everytime you have to think about how the congregations treated your Dad. I am definitely going to use this material, along with others that I received to help me get through to my daughter, although I wish this never happened. I am working on a new strategy. If it works, I'll certainly tell everyone, so that maybe someone else can use the same strategy with good results, too. But, it will take time, as you all know it always does. It went okay. My daughter didn't bring up any of the W.T. bullcrap, so we didn't, either. Instead, we had an enjoyable evening, talking about things in the past, what's going on at home, etc. All small talk.
Freewilly<> Thanks for sending me these links, even though I didn't use them tonight. I printed out a few of the stories in case I needed them, and I will eventually use them to show her what is happening in the W.T. org., so it isn't a wasted effort on your part. Thanks again for them.
My two daughters have been quarreling the last couple of months, so it was great to see them talking to each other again. Their quarrels weren't j.w. related. It was like old times having the two of them around together again, also with our grandaughter here, too, and my Bible study daughter missed seeing her niece because of all the quarreling, and I think that helped them get back together, too.
I did forget to mention in this post that if I had gotten an ultimatum to "back off" from my Bible study daughter, I would have respected her wishes, because I wouldn't want to lose her. That's not an option. I would have tried my best to stay on good terms with her and her husband.
So, at least that part of our problem is solved, the fact that our daughters are on good terms again. Thanks again, freewilly.
