  Exactly. I think one of the main differences between the WTS and some more liberal mainstream denominations is that the former attempts to pretend faith is not only a matter of faith and that it can actually make sense in some objectively verifiable way.

  atrolling we will go atrolling we will go.. another subject of this post could be: the devaluation of christian conscience in jehovah's witnesses.. you ever notice that the wt will sometimes print things that some christians can do with a clean conscience.

  things that in the past were a big no no but now are ok?

  since there are a lot of things i could do with a clean conscience: birthdays; smoke; oral sex; bla bla bla, could i use this reasoning as a defense?

  There's one more limitation which comes with the Christian conscience according to the WTS. If you decide to use your "bible-trained" conscience, you should be careful not to "stumble" other dubs and their "bible-trained" conscience.   was wondering if anyone else knew 9/11 was going to happen before it did?

  my mother, when leaving the org.

  back in the early 90's began researching the bible (not the nwt because it was too flawed), she used the kjv and the niv, she also used strongs and a bible that had both greek and hebrew in it right along side the english.

  You have to remember that although the 9/11 attack was indeed a terrible tragedy to happen, it doesn't even begin to compare with some other terrible events in world history which no-one claims to have been foretold in the Bible.
  
  It was grotesquely "spectacular", it got a lot of media coverage and a lot of people watched the disaster live as it was happening. And it was an attack on the American territory. Something Americans had not seen for a long time. That's why a lot of people tend to tie it in with their personal experiences and give it metaphysical meaning.
  
  I wonder why the siege of Stalingrad where over 1 million people died was never prophesized?
  
  Just think about it: why would God deliberatly plan on letting such events happen? Why would he be so cruel as to play this prophecy game? If you think this was all foretold, then you believe in predestination. This is what follows immediately from assuming these events were anticipated in some bible passages.

  When did you stop growing ?

  it's seems that people can grow about until they are 25 (unless a sickness still make them grow).

  i've stop growing at 12, i'm the same size since then 5'5'.

  also they told me that anyway having a baby at 14 would had stop me growing anyway that i should have been taller !

  it seems to me that all Dub's have an unconscious belief in an immortal soul.... after all they do believe they will SLEEP in death and then that part of them sleeping will awaken.... I doubt a single one of them really thinks they will be destroyed and a copy will be allowed to live in their place.

  It can all be explained with only one statement: Jehovah will make things all right. We need not worry.
