He hung out with Mary Magdalene.
Or rather with John, who as the Scripture says enjoyed resting on his chest ;-).

Banned?
I don't think so. The mechanism of getting banned from this place is very different from the mechanism of getting df'ed. Even when you make the dumbest argument - as long as it is your genuine opinion, you are entitled to voice it here.
On the other hand you oftentimes get df'ed from the congregation for voicing an intelligent opinion. The irony!
Pace!

IM from a dub who is disgusted at my presence on this board
by stillajwexelder ini have read your posts and am suprised, shocked and disgusted at the fact you still are an active witness who goes to the meetings 70% of the time and at the same time go to apostefests and curse and talk bad about the truth.
dont you know that the bible said people like you would quietly slip in the congregation and subvert the faith of some?
are you not afraid of god and jesus?

Will the anointed remnant survive Armageddon?
by Bonnie_Clyde ini always thought that was what the society teaches.
in fact, haven't there been discussions about how we know the end has to be near because the number of the anointed remnant is decreasing, but there still have to be a few on the earth when armageddon comes to help get the educational work organized in the new world?.
well, i ran across this article today from the 9-1-89 wt pages 20 and 21, paragraphs 12 and 13. i was attending back then.

google,
I don't think it's that simple. I just don't know how much of a say the younger ones have in the GB and if they really feel entitled to take over and nominate new ones ad infinitum. Even the dumbest of dubs will start wondering: hey - this guy's my age. Why is he annointed and I'm not?
Anyway it will be interesting to watch things develop or stagnate while having a real life in the meantime.
JC,
Why don't you try to contact the Writing Dep with this revelation? And don't forget to record the conversation and post it here. I'm sure these paranoids would be humbled by your bible-based delusions. ;-) And don't forget to introduce yourself properly - something that you haven't done here recently. Maybe it's the new medications? "Hello, this is me, the re-embodied messiah, I'm just calling to point out that...."

So if some of the FDS have to survive until Armageddon comes, then they have a problem.
What happens if all those who feel entitled to be part of the FDS die out and there will not only be no Armageddon, but none of the big prophecies leading to it won't have been fulfilled by then (desctruction of religion, peace and security, etc.)? Who will rightfully lead the Organization?
They're going to have to start revising their doctrine soon enough to avoid this problem. The truth is, however, that the old farts are to self-conceited and lazy about it. Their end is pretty close anyway, so why should they risk their comfortable lives? Why even think about it? Wouldn't it count as "allowing doubts to develop"?
I'm telling ya, we're living in fascinating times. Whatever they do, they'll lose much of their reputation. LOL.

Why do/don't you believe in God
by LouBelle innow for all the scientists out there this is not a question of proof or anything along those lines.
for my part i choose to believe in a god because i honestly believe there is one (though i did start doubting for a little while) i've always felt that there was more to our existance on earth - and that doesn't stem from me wanting to live forever or as a spirit, as i don't even know if that will happen.
i also believe in him because many many times when i could not carry on, on my own strength, i managed to pulled through.

Damn, LT. You're lucky!

LT,
Can you outline the set of "uncolored" premises that make you believe in God? So far you have been refuting other posters' premises. That's ok, but, let's reason positively for a while.

By comparison, the Seventh-day Adventist Church reports it has added more than 900,000 adult converts each year since 2000 (an average growth of about 5 percent),
Truly I say unto ye, Jehovah is speeding up the harvest work. Err, wait, did you say it was the SDAs who have a 5% growth? And not Jehovah's only true people? How come?
