so what is this god good for then, if it doesn't make a difference? just being there, watching? yeah, i know, some would like that. but wouldn't a visible friend be good enough for that?

Will the anointed remnant survive Armageddon?

i always thought that was what the society teaches.

in fact, haven't there been discussions about how we know the end has to be near because the number of the anointed remnant is decreasing, but there still have to be a few on the earth when armageddon comes to help get the educational work organized in the new world?.

well, i ran across this article today from the 9-1-89 wt pages 20 and 21, paragraphs 12 and 13. i was attending back then.

Even the dumbest of dubs will start wondering: hey - this guy's my age. Why is he annointed and I'm not?

even the most intelligent dub will be told to be humble, doing his work in the place the org put him. it's so easy to control sheep.

and the by then young ones won't even remember that there was a time they said that the harvest of the "little flock" is completed. they won't have any access to watchtower literature dating back to 2001, they'll be told that "some over zealous brothers" thought, "the generation" would be the generation of 1914, but the org never said so... you know, the same old story. only different names.

however, i think everything will stagnate in this organization. i think "al quaeda" and the media currently is doing a good job helping the JWs flourish, but in the long run the now young ones will jump off. however i know several (should i say "really dumb") young folks, who are completely brainwashed and guarantee to run the org for times to come. maybe at a smaller scale, but it'll be around for a while.
