The only times I have gone back to edit posts has been ones posted when under the influence and if I can;t make sense of them sober its not fair to expect you lot too either!
this is an ancient philosophy. i read a book by xenophon who describes the skythes (i believe) to take their decision exactly that way. either they decide something when drunk and if they still like it when sober, they accept it, or vice versa. good idea.

Insecure posters
by misguided ini wonder if it's just me, or if other posters are like this.
do any of you start to type a post, then hit the back button, or quit your post because your afraid of saying something stupid or "wrong," or reread some of your previous posts and wonder, what you were thinking when you posted it?.
i find most people on this board more than willing to accept you for whatever you say in a post, but i still frequently shy away from hitting that 'submit post' button.. rose (pushing the submit button before chickening out again)

all he ever does is tell me how darwin was wrong about things and he seems to equate darwin not having all the answers to mean that evolution isnt possible, then seems to default to creation as fact.
its really annoying.

yes. i sometimes delete quite huge posts, because i'm not sure if i really want to publish that. one reason is that i can't really express something the way i want to, another one is fear to tell too much about me and someone who knows me reads here... another one is that my post does not make sense at all.

Birthdays-How Ridiculous the wts is

but from what i have seen from dubs, they actually take it one step further.
they wont even acknowledge someones birthday!

it's really stupid. as i was never allowed to say "happy birthday" since i was a baby, i still have problems with it at work, because suddenly starting to congratulate would rise a lot of questions and i really don't want to get into that at the moment. my situation here at work is even more confusing for my workmates, as a young brother and friend of mine who also works here always congratulates... lol.
however, me and other young people in my congregation started celebrating each others birthdays some years ago. mainly because of the free drinks at our favourite bar. how fortunate we are! -

to completely understand our biblical stance on birthdays, let's first have a look at the greek word for birthday, birsdaios. a dictionary states, that birsdaios can be translated as "birthday", however also has the meaning of "orgy", "premarital sexual relations" and in some cases even is used in the context of porneia.
as we all know, the inspired bible writers were using koine greek (2. timotheus 3:16). a widely accepted linguist says the following: "... the original greek word, birsdaios, in koine [actually] has the meaning of [beheading, idolatry, satanism]".
if we see birthdays in this light, we will let our eyes go by what is worthless to see (job 0:00). let's continue to please our god, jehovah, who will bring a paradise on this earth, as active publishers of "the king and the kingdom" (rutherford 3:2). -
