a bong and a hookah are not the same things. a bong is made of glass and usually only used for weed. a hookah is made for (special, usually fruit-flavoured) tobacco - weed won't work well with it, this is a common misconception - made of different parts, usually glass, metal and porcellain.
i got a hookah. i'm not sure about health risks yet though. there are different opinions...

Thou shall not kill? Makes no sense?
by free2beme ini always thought, when reading the bible, that the commandment "thou shall not kill" made no sense.
after all, the god who supposely gave it commanded his own people to kill.
so i wonder, did that god actually mean, "thou shall not murder?

first of all, jehovah is always right.
he's always loving, no matter how many people he kills, he's always just, no matter how many innocent he punishes, he's always wise, no matter if he regrets things after the event, he's always mighty, no matter how many times he can't prevent something from happening.
because the bible says he is. no matter what. jehovah's always right.
my mom reasons like that: there's nothing bad when jehovah kills people who didn't do anything wrong (like the 70,000 killed after david's census), because he can resurrect them anyway.
in other words: this life's good for nothing. wait for another life.
poor little people. this is the only life we got, don't you know? but you'll never get it. -

What Would You Risk Your Life Over?
by Mecurious? ini see people doing stupid things that involve risking their life for jobs that don't even pay that much or some other sillines, like not giving up a car to an armed robber.. relate incidents where this has happened and name some things that you'd risk life and limb over.. m'.
be creative!
cuz, there are a few that bear mentioning!.

WHAT was the nicest compliment anybody ever paid you? What did they say?
by Terry inwhen i was about 16 i had a terrible crush on an older lady (she might have been 30) who was the lovliest person ever.
she had poise, confidence, intelligence, wit, appreciation and culture.
i was just a skinny, shy, geeky kid that she took under her wing.

two elders told me that i'm very intelligent and the intellectual head of the young people in our congo.
they wanted me to take the responsibility for everyone, as they said, all of the young guys would look up to me and do just what i say. i told them that everyone got his own head to think and it's not my problem what the others do or think. -

inquirer, you ad hominem attacker you! ;-) or was that a red herring? have to check...
i'd say one of the main characters in greek scriptures is the self made "apostle" paul. if using god's name would be that important, surely he'd mentioned it somewhere in his letters, wouldn't he?
btw, you quote the NWT to "prove" that jesus used the name "jehovah" when quoting hebrew scripture. but i suppose you know that that's not in the manuscripts. -

What do you call a bunch of WT magazines on the ground?

street witnessing!
the inspiration for this joke came from seeing a "you can live forever on a paradise earth" brochure on the ground.
