last evening, the family and i went for our traditional monday "i?m too tired to cook" meal at mickiedees.

our son can never stop talking about his order; hamburger happy meal with a boy toy, and make sure they don?t put pickles, mustard or onions on the burger.

we hear that all the way there on most occasions.. for some reason, maybe because i?ve been spending so much time here the past few days, hubby and i got onto the subject of biblical doctrine and religion, punctuated by at least 10 chorus of "mom?don?t forget.

I was Molested by my CO grandfather

i was molested by my grandfather from the age of 3 to 7. he was also molesting his daughter (my aunt) and maybe others.

it was covered over and my entire family was actually shunned when we went to the elders when i was 18. i did not tell anyone about it until then because my grandfather had me believing our relationship was special and it was our little secret.. when confronted, he of course denied it.

my mother even spoke up of a time when he had tried to molest her when she was 8 months pregnant with one of my brothers.

But I do have the satisfaction of seeing him lead a miserable life with his money-grubbing, ugly ass new wife, the loss of his business, and him losing his house. I'm evil, I know, but its about time he got his comeuppance for molesting me; and I should say that it's good enough for me.

disfellowshipping

i was recently disfellowshipped for being in a same sex relationship with a female.

i understand that it is against bible standards but i do not agree with disfellowshipping in that everyone including my family has nothing to do with me.

i am 18 years old.

welcome to the board!!! i too was DF'd and am shunned by my family for the relationship that i am in. both sides of my family are devoute JWs. i feel your pain. things will get better though so look to the future. i hope you trust and love your partner b/c you will have to lean on her for support during this tramatic time in your life. you will always miss your family but remember that they miss you too!! they are just doing what they think is right. in time though things may change. you can alwyas come here for support or if you'd like to talk in person sedn me a PM!

Do you still Patronize Women?

i was thinking today about how jehovah's witnesses are conditioned to view women.

i'm sure there have been many threads and discussions on this subject.

just curious how you view women now that you are no longer a jw?

Do you think that your woman (girl friend, wife, lover etc). should be there when you need her, fix you dinner, clean up after you, look good, please you sexually and shut up when she should?

i have never patronized women!!

but weirdly enough, i've been mentioned here before, when one of my posts at lj (about whether or not subjection to the organization is relative) caused a bit of a war among ljjws.

i found this forum googling my username, actually.

i was wondering if anyone here has any theories as to why it is that, the more meetings we skip, the less we want to go.

2 elders plan on giving her a shepherding call and will outline exactly what and what not she can do with her granddaughter----now that she is marked.

i dont know how i came across this forum but when i came to it i was so shocked of all the things being mentioned about the org.

i became doubtful of the recent decision i had made ( the big dip, which i kinda felt pressure to do but that's another story) also hearing about how jw are a cult really opened my interest.

so now that im openly informed ,im out in search of the truth behind the truth.
