i heard this guy interviewed on radio a couple nights ago.

apparently he was witnessed summoning ufos.

anyone else hear of this guy?

leolaia you are correct....but this is a video of an authentic news channel broadcast. they did a story on this guy thinking it was a bunch of bunk but they were all blown away.

What to wear to the District Convention

i'm just gearing up to head off to the district convention.

i was worried about the shunning thing but then realised, how about i just don't wear the uniform, and dress like a study instead?

with a wig and sunnies none of my people will notice me, and strangers will treat me nicely and share their sandwiches and offer me bible studies.

wow....i just saw the video that was linked in another thread on this baord and i don't know how to explain it. i'm not a believer in intelligent alien life forms or UFOs but seeing that video makes me wonder. i'd like to hear a logical explanation b/c i don't have one. by the way this was in the middle of the day. i have seen many satelites move accross the night sky but i have never seen one in the middle of the day.

we are going to a baseball game.

i would rather watch paint dry.

i'm going to the wedding of my second cousin who is a fader, never babptised, and he is marrying a wordly girl. all his family are JWs (his mother is my mom's aunt) as well as most of the family on my mom's side (well her aunt's and uncles, most of the kids are not JWs). so this makes for an intersting weekend...me and my wordly GF along w/ most of my second cousins, also worldy, vs my family, grandmother and my mom's uncles and aunts. all of the brides quests and family are worldy so this should make for an interesting weekend.

the elders and the organization always put us on alert to make sure we never "stumbled" anyone.

of course, someone was always be counseled for this offense.

If it means you left the religion because you observed the repeated drunkenness of elders, unmarried pioneers having sex and constant wild partying, and elders cheating others in business, all blatantly and hypocritically condoned, then yes, I was stumbled.

HA!!! that kind of behavior is what kept me in so long. i was attracted to this sort in the KH as i was always partying and drinking even underage.

i don't htink i was ever stumbled but there were def. people i didn't like...mostly the self righteous people. i don't know if i stumbled anyone but i probably did b/c i definately had the "i don't give a fuck" attitude.

How Many Of You "Bumped" Your Field Service Hours?

how many of you bumped up your field service hours so you could keep the elders off your back?

our congo had a 10 hour "soft" target for guys.

however, if you didn't meet the 10 hours you got your "privledges" reduced or revoked.

damn i almost forgot about this. my dad's rule was that if someone asked you "why are you so dressed up" or "what are you doing" and you could answer "i'm in field service" then you could be counting your time. so for me my time started when i left the house and stopped when i got back home. on top of that i would add an hour or two on my report at the ened of the month. i was reporting 10-15 hours a month when i was probaby getting 4 at the most. i never felt bad about it and my dad actually encouraged it.
