  Demons & Possession--New Teaching?

  whilst reading the bible straight thru this last time (& probably is the last time) i noticed an odd thing.

  i'll just throw it out on the table and see what it brings.. starting in the gospels, demons and demon-possession seem to be very common and no one seems shocked.

  in fact, casting out demons is a definite part of the disciples'and jesus' work.. but, in the ot, there is nary a mention of demon possession, nor rarely a word about demons at all.

  god that was a heavy duty read seven - my head is swirling

  imo the author puts forward an interesting angle on not only the concept of demons - but also - between the lines - the concept of one godhead

  these statements were mindblowers:

  Moreover, they used it for gods which their own scriptures taught them only existed as destructive ideas in the minds of those who believed in them!

  Nevertheless, the worshippers of these imaginary gods or "demons" did believe that they actually existed and must be feared; so much so that they were even prepared to sacrifice their children to them. Such can be the dreadful power of totally false ideas possessing the human mind.

  13 of course, the fact that jehovahs servants weep over the sorry state of world affairs does not preclude their being happy.

  in the thread "wt leader admits being demon possessed" http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/forum/thread.asp?id=3720&site=3 and in every other thread in which tallyman has participated that i have read, you have ruthlessly and remorselessly attacked him.. don't you think he has been punished enough?

  the courts had all the information, the prosecution worked very hard - and a jury of his peers found him not guilty of any offense.

  and they had far more information than you do.. because you are weasel-wording, the smear you are attempting and perpetrating just might fall short of actionable libel - i do not know.
