Real reasons behind this change?
by Gorb injust a good conversation at home about the hour report change.. we think the change was not impmemented because the gb are such a lovely bunch of old grandpa's having the best in mind for us individuals.. there will be only, and we say only, an organizational reason for it.
a legal reason, to protect jw.org and it's officials and wealth.. next step?
maybe selling more kh and when jw hollywood studio's in rampoo are ready a change to tv subscription.. what do you think?

I had a notion and followed up on it.
I asked Chat GPT4 what legal pressures might have prompted Jehovah's Witnesses to change their policy on reporting ministerial stats.

According to my search results, Jim Melgar was found stabbed to death in his home in Houston, Texas on December 22, 20121.
His wife, Sandra Melgar, was convicted of his murder and sentenced to 27 years in prison on August 24, 20171.
The case has been controversial, with some disputing the verdict2.
This took place in Texas. I live in Texas but never heard a word about it before stumbling on to this video on YouTube.
A close friend of mine who is a still-in JW was very empathetic toward the wife, fully accepting
her story.
I tend to think the Prosecution's imagination ran away with them.
To do what this woman is said to have done she'd have to be two things simultaneously:
First, a psychopathic mastermind.
Second, physically invincible. A man fighting for his life against a woman in her ill health
could put up quite a battle.
In the end, none of us will ever know for certain. -

SUPERSTITION is the result of ignorance about Nature leading to false notions of causation.
In other words, humans perceive the frightening or awe-inspiring lighting bolts, thunder, volcanic eruptions,
rainbows, comets, Northern lights, etc. and attribute (false) causes.
That is the beginning of human knowledge: GUESS WORK.
An oddity of human nature is that humans who assume THEY KNOW something fall into 2 categories:
1. Those self-convinced who cannot be persuaded otherwise
2. Those with curiosity who are unafraid to be wrong and willing to CHANGE and UPDATE their knowledge.

he told me he expects to lose his job at some point in the next 5 years, as the accounting dept, will disappear, as all accounting will be done by ai programs, so why teach it.. if his fears are correct, that means that any profession that involves the mind, may one day face the same future.

The "limitation" of A.I. is IMPOSED and not really an artifact or bug.
Put your dog on a leash fastened to a tree and then command him to fetch
the stick you toss across the street. (That sort of thing.) Coming up short
is built in.
Hallucination is giving an answer when there is no data and suddenly imagination
kicks in. If you have parented a three year old you'll recognize this tendency.
Call it what you like (lies, hallucinations, etc) but it is temporary.
Artificial General Intelligence is the most useful 'tool' humans have ever produced.
Those of us who try to stay in the loop as miracles appear will not fear it but wisely
seek to adopt it, utilize it and make life so much less burdensome.
We all have friends who just won't budge from what they already know; who resist,
chide, criticize, flail and fulminate against every new technology. They will prosper
least, I fear. -

A 2nd townhouse down the same street was also purchased by the Religious Order of Jehovah's Witnesses.
