  If its good, God did it... if its bad Satan did it....

  i've read the bible and i don't recall satan himself actually ever doing anything evil or harmful... however i read many accounts where god killed or tormented countless thousands of people for arbitrary reasons.. aside from prophecies where jehover says that satan will hurt people in the future (hasn't happened yet, and no sign that it will happen), can anyone cite an example in the bible where satan actually harmed anyone?.

  Suppose that you had the power to painlessly end their existance and create two perfect rabbits whose offspring would be perfect and happy. What would you do? Keep the diseased rabbits and their diseased offspring or start over with two new perfect rabbits?

  just a side point...

  very simply put, if we had the power to cure the stupid rabbits, would we? or would we stand there and watch them suffer? no, no...take away all the "perfect justice" stuff and "Divine Authority under attack" stuff that we project upon god. yes or no, would you fix the rabbits? if you would not, you are a monster. i refuse to worship the god that would let them suffer.

  does god bless people?...does he punish people?

  i've had many a conversation with my girlfriend on this.

  my thinking is, if god actively chooses to bless certain individuals, couldn't his withholding of blessings from others be considered a form of punishment?.

  religions in general are quick to say that on a daily basis god blesses his followers (people pray for it continuously) but rarely do i hear that the god they worship actively/daily punishes people.

  yeah, i should add that i personally believe that god (if he/she/it even exists) has no play in humans daily lives.

  but some people swear by god's helpful hand.

  The laws of christianity teach people that we are to respect a persons right to exist even if they are the worst type of human immaginable .GOD himself reserves the right to judge and execute judgement .

  of course, that's assuming that god himself instituted the laws now subscribed to by christianity...

  if sin is "falling short of god's will" and sin results in death, how have animals "fallen short" thus deserving death?

  if there was a dog messiah, would animals be redeemed as well?

  So before all you god fearing ones start jumping on me like a pack, remember your Christians and think of how Jesus would have responded. LOL So if your uncomfortable with what I said just pretend you didn't read it and move on.

  i think anyone too stuck on the bible probably stopped reading this thread a long time ago.

  I've seen many definitions of atheist and agnostic (just like "saved" and "born-again") and I'm sure I don't fit all the definitions.

  why label yourself? why confine yourself to "Atheist" or "Agnostic" or "Religious"? i'm just a dude with common sense. that way you're always free to expand your viewpoint without the walls imposed by a label.

  i was served a restraining order by the local sheriff from my jw x -wife.

  i know without a doubt this is a small maneuver to block me from picketing at the kingdom hall and exposing her lies and bullcrap.

  while nancy is in the hospital recovering, the other two girls are now completely indignant and ready to help take this thing head on.

  As important as we might think we are the universe could go on very well without us.

  on the other hand, the universe seems to be progressing pretty nicely without god's influence (apparently) either.
