Thanks Dim, that's what I thought. The WTS does whatever they damn well please and everyone just nods in agreement. Every year we were told how vital it was to keep this important document current.

Mike & Mind,
These are 2 very good articles. Thanks.
Only trouble is...Now I'm frickin' scared. What can be done about this military buildup? No wonder many peple feel the need to retreat into their religious "God will take care of us" ideologies.
The JW's no doubt will capitalize on this new miltary strategy to drum up some new business too. -

Let me help you then - no, they did not wear beards. Beards were not envogue at the time in Rome. However, many Gentile Christians who were clean shaven were used EXTENSIVELY for congregation responsibilities. Now, do you see the point? -

Did Cornelius or any other Gentile Christian men have beards? Did the apostles make them grow one so as not to stumble anyone? -

If U "Bugged" Bethel: What Would U Hear?
by Mindchild ini'm just curious to know if there would be anything sensational to discover if you somehow managed to listen in on or record a meeting of the "power" elite at bethel or a gb session.. would you just be listening to some senile old men droning on about the bible or do you think it would be something that would be scandalous to the max for your average dub?
i know that c of c talked a bit about the meetings the gb had and for the most part it sounded pretty boring to me.
but i wonder where the really juicy stuff is talked about?

Nice post Geordie. Love the Brit expression Bullox!
I have a goatee now, so I only have to shave maybe twice a week - it's great. I was over at my JW mom's for dinner recently and when I walked in my non JW aunt and my grandparents said "OHHH, we love the new look, the goatee looks fantastic on you". My mom and the rest of the JW family all pretended they hadn't heard what was just said.
PATHETIC!
