you're/your.... the first use of "your" should be "you're" as in... "I noticed you are trying..."... The second use of your was correct. Just saying....lol
I didn't mean "you're." I really did mean "your," as if to say, "Not my trying to make sure, but your trying to make sure."
"Your attempt to fix the computer was successful." "I noticed your use of turpentine to remove the paint."
But I can understand why it might have appeared a mistake.
Hi Sooner... Thought you did a fine job; especially the ending line. I noticed your trying to make sure the punctuation was correct in your use of the two forms of its/it's. I think you'll find the following to be helpful: It's is a contraction of "it is." And, while apostrophes are often used to indicate possession, as in, "This is Sooner's letter of disassociation," it is not used when using the possessive form of it. The correct thing is to leave out the apostrophe, leaving it its. (The Watchtower Society or its subsidiaries.)
I think you'll find this to be correct, and I don't ordinarily point out this sort of thing--unless someone asks.
I envy your brevity. I think, should I ever decide to write such a letter, it'll be eight pages to start!

most of the samplings come from the past few centuries, but it begins with some writings by lucretius and omar khayyam.
this book is a delight and a must have for an atheist who wishes to see the progression of atheism over the centuries, as well as some of the most damning polemics against the illogic of faith.

yes as a young man on 20 out witnessing with the special pioneers one brother said his bible study wasn't home...."oh that sucks" said i......well, you would have thought i said "that sucks balls" three pioneers completely freak out and as a "trinity" start telling me off...i didn't think it was a swear word....anyone else?.

I think that Hallelujah is a perfectly acceptable term for we as Jah's people. In fact, shouldn't we use "Jah" instead of Jehovah? I mean JeHOvah? In today's world, the word "ho" is used so widely and derisively. Isn't it just another way we might bring reproach on God's people, knowing that every time we say "JeHOvah," people are snickering under their breath and thinking to themselves, "You just said "ho.""? True Christians will be babes as to badness and will shun frigging ANYTHING that might possibly reflect badly on our great and gorgeous God.

My dad put me in the school when I was eight, and later I was the school overseer. It seems like most people usually got G's (for Good,) but once in awhile a W (for Work on This) would be given. I found that usually an I meant "Improved, but you still need work on this," but some overseers thought it meant "Improved, so we'll move you to your next point of counsel." I never saw any indication that the elders, Circuit Overseer or the Society in general paid much attention to these counsel slips. I never heard of these things ever being actually sent to Brooklyn, nor do I ever remember the body or the CO looking over them when contemplating brothers for appointment as ministerial servant or elder. It was just something that was supposed to monitor a person's "progress" as a public speaker.
