i am not j.w., never really was of any religion, i went once with my uncle to a catholic sermon (many moons ago).

"I read only non-fiction..."
by patio34 inhi all you wonderful folks!.
i know a couple of people who made the above statement recently and got to thinking about it.
the way i see it a comparison could be made between fiction and non-fiction & art and photography.. both have their places, but art changes the original to match what the artist sees.

at my judicial commitee, the elder started off with "well this isn't a witch trial or anything.. but"
Is this some kind of disclaimer they now use before they launch into a witch trial? -

Emptying the cupboards of litter-ature?
by Marilyn ini'm wondering how many of you took a while to gather up the courage to dispose of your cupboard loads of watchtowers and awakes, that you'd stored away for........safe keeping????.
we probably hung on to ours for a few months and then we burned them.
there was a tinge of apprehension about it, but it was generally a very satisfying activity.

I gave away several boxes of books including bound volumes on the basis I had the CD, although I regret getting rid of some older books. I recently bought studies in the scriptures - divine plan of the ages in a second hand book shop though for practically nothing. It's the book with that lovely pull out section about the pyramids and the plan of time.
