HI- i hate to admit it but i am still angry after a little less than 2 years- i realize that's not very long really but at first i was just hurt and then when the hurt started becoming less- i felt the anger set in and it has yet to lessen or go away. Still. I do feel agreat sense of relief. It's so great to know those people have no control over me and my life anymore.. sugarbritches

When does the "anger" subside.....?
by ScoobySnax inhaving never felt "anger" as such toward jws or the organisation myself, it is apparent that many here do.
sometimes just by reading the thread title it is clear in many how they feel, so for more seasoned posters, or maybe those who have been out longer, how long does this anger take to fade, if it ever does.
maybe you never felt like that anyway.

What was your turning point?
by jeanniebeanz inwhat was it that was the real eye opener for you?.
for me, it was after watching the video, "jehovah's witnesses; a non-prophet organization," and the point on how the org puts itself in a place between jesus and mankind.
a position which does not exist scripturally.

shunning
by sugarbritches inthe witnesses have all told me that they aren't allowed to talk to a df'd person because the bible says to treat him as a man of the nations, as a tax collector-- yet they talk to men of the nations, they talk to tax collectors.
so where does it say they are to shun a df'd person- that they have to treat the person as though he isn't even in the room?
to me, this is so cruel.-sugarbritches

Hi thanks orangefatcat--- I used to feel sorry for myself because the witnesses made me FEEL just as unworthy as they say I am. Then I thought about it all for a long, long time and I realized that I am THEIR loss- and I wouldn't even want to spend forever with people who won't associate with me now. :)))) Sugarbritches

The witnesses here all shun- ignore- etc... me they say I am bad association because I am not a witness. I'm glad I am no longer studying with them. Why would I want to spend forever with people who don;t want to spend now with me?-Sugarbritches

brainwashed ???
by sugarbritches inhi- are jw's to be blamed or pitied for their cold, callous unloving ways?- sugarbritches

HI guys- thanks for all your posts to my question. I too think that brainwashing thing is crap-- although i confess it is hard for me to understand why anyone would WILLFULLY want to belong to such a loveless group of people. We do have free will- and we should be ALLOWED to use it.Thats sort of what we are all doing here- right? When I was doing my study- I wasn't ALLOWED to be here with worldly people.:))))) So free will is good. :))))))))
