Strange disfellowshippings!

a few years back a 'sister' in our hall was df'd for marrying a disfellowshipped man.

they were both free to remarry 'scripturally' - in their late-middle years of life.

i asked one of the local pharrasies why?

My husband and I were marked because we got married and I was not baptized...even though I tried for years to get baptized!

Blood sucking bastards for the dark pitts of hell....ok I am done!

However I am thankful that did happen because I am out and it made me see the truth!

One of my good friends did get DF'ed because he married a DF'ed person....Although the elder said to him before he couldn't get into trouble or DF'ed for it...then took it back saying "well what I meant was you could get DF'ed" and then dropped him!

we are still good friends.

i wonder if that led to our being a tad bit more open minded and aided in our exit???

i like science better, i believe in the big bang, and evolution.

If God did have a new system..would you want to be there?

i was a witness for over forty years and for most of that time the "new world" "paradise" was not a place i ever wanted to live in.. there are many aspects of life in the 21st century that are great and i wouldn't want to give up.

tv, internet, blues/jazz clubs etc etc.. i may be shallow.

but there were other better reasons millions of people would have gone, wiped out by god: this never sat easy with me.. i told my elder father that i wouldn't want to live five minutes in god's new system, knowing that people i loved, had been killed by god because they didn't love him in the way he wanted.. just telling my father that has made me really wake up to how i really feel about my ex religion.. does a paradise earth as jw's depict appeal to you?

How many EX-JW or Inactive JW's

i just wondered if anyone has done a head count of ex-witnesses?

or a rough estimate?

i figure over a period of say 30 years there are as many who are out as there are in, do you think that is way off?

I think you may be right on there are as many out as there are in. I wouldn't know the head count though.

However, I wonder if we should count the ones who lead double lives and the ones who go just to get approval of family or spouse etc...

I did the approval thing for awhile but now I am just inactive and maybe some day full blown EX JW! I just hate to loose my family.

I could never give up coke...However, I am going to give up Coke and Cheese cake and all my other favs for 6 months! I have lost 30 pounds since my sons birth and I want to loose a little more I am going to give up on this for a little while! I am on my first day and already I am going nuts! Yesterday I was going to do it but I needed one more!

What's your worst job experiences?

i don't have too many crumby experiences, but i was just sitting here thinking about when i worked as a hostess at a local restaurant.

it was kind of a family-owned restaurant, and whoever had worked there for a long time still worked there no matter how @$@#^ their attitudes were.

i tried and tried to just be polite and have conversations with them but they didn't like me and were antagonizing me to the point of being in tears from the start.. there was one particular waitress who the men would walk in and specifically ask for..like walk up and whisper in your ear..."put me at a----'s table, please"..it wasn't too big of a mystery why all the men asked for her.. and one particular waitress made a habit of throwing the menu's at me when she wanted them put back after being used...like walk by me and throw them over her shoulder and i would be trying to catch them all.. there was also alot of he-said-she-said bullcrap.

Nancy and I had the same Job...LMAO!

I hated working for him. He was such an a**!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah I remember getting all confused with the parts and the guys laughed at me it was so bad they thought I was cute because I wore platform tennis shoes to work! Yeah I am a retard!

Anyway he forced to learn how to drive stick too I got the hang of it. But I was pulled over trying to practice and I did a huge burn out infront of a cop which was kind of funny. The cop did a Salute to me and said "I have been there"!

I hated working for the short fat pollock bastar* with a porn hobo mustash and coke bottle classes and a walk like he had a rash up his butt! He was ungly mean and made fun of girls. I remember onetime I told him that I hated my job because he was boss! What made me really sad working there is that my favorite person in the whole world worked there before I did and I remember her perfect hand writing all over the office and it made me sad not being able to talk to her like I used too! I love you Nancy!

if you had to give up one of your 5 senses such as sight, hearing, taste, touch and, smell which one would it be and why?.

i choose taste because i could eat healthy crap and not think anything of it.. part 2 of the question since the 1st one was not too bad...... if you had to loose sight or hearing which one would it be and why?.

i would choose my hearing because i want to see my kids grow up and there are other ways to communicate(however, it would be so hard not to be able to hear my baby's first words).
