Robdar, I'm trying to have something to fall back on, and I just might fall hard. But I just want to make sure I receive money for my work and not get jipped. I spent alot of time making these and I been wanting to share them with others but not just give them away so I was thinking about trying this avenue to make some money.

I was wondering about the same thing. I'm starting school next month and just wanted some back up money and I have some Cross-stitch artwork that I've done and wanted to see if I could sell it. If I were to purchase a digital camera or either scan the pictures, would I get more offers? I also just want to see how much I might would get for them.
How is the money exchanged? I would prefer to only deal with money orders, is that possible? How are payments made?

Why Have Memorial if...
by Sweetp0985 inno one partakes of it?
out of the many memorials i have been to, i only recall 1 when a bethelite came to give our talk and he was of the anointed and partook of the emblems.
but anyway i've read a post on here and heard about a person in my local area that partook of the emblems and their "anointed" status was questioned.

Ok Ok, Maybe I'm not just comprehending but are you guys telling me:
1. They say Jesus came in 1914 and 1918/19 but he left some anointed ones here to live out there life so to them 1 Cor. 11:26 doesn't count. Even though Paul clearly says," For as often as you eat this loaf and drink this cup, you keep proclaiming the death of the Lord, until he arrives. Ok
2."Until Jesus came to receive the last of these disciples to himself in the heavenly place prepared for them, the memorial of his death would continue being celebrated. When all are finally united with him above for the purpose of acting as priests with him and ruling as kings with him, the Memorial celebration on earth will cease." So are the JW's admitting to believing in the rapture because if I'm understand correctly if some of the 8000 are still alive when he comes, how is going to take them with him to his house? Aren't they going to have to be "SWEPT AWAY" with him to the heavens?
3. We are just patiently waiting on 8,000 people to die and then Armageddon is coming?
4. Why is it that in the JW-Kingdom proclaimers book when it shows partakers in the Memorial from 1930- til the printing of the book, Why does the number increase and then go back down for a few of those years? I don't have the book in front of me, but if someone can find it, can you explain why the number of people that were supposedly all chosen before 1935 would decrease, decrease, increase, decrease, decrease, increase. HMMMMMMM...
I am so very confused. Please Help!!!!

No one partakes of it? Out of the many memorials I have been to, I only recall 1 when a Bethelite came to give our talk and he was of the anointed and partook of the emblems. It was so awe-inspiring (NOT). But anyway I've read a post on here and heard about a person in my local area that partook of the emblems and their "anointed" status was questioned. But anyways my point is that in the bible at Luke 22:14-20:
14 And when the hour was come, he sat down, and the twelve apostles with him. 15 And he said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer: 16 For I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God. 17 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves: 18 For I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall come. 19 And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me. 20 Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.
. Where in this scripture does it say that just the "anointed ones" are supposed to eat/drink the bread and wine? I think I'm correct in saying that the JW's always proclaim that they are the only true followers of Christ and that they follow the Bible, so why do they blatantly disobey Jesus when he says,"this do in remembrance of me"? Ok yes they have the memorial but what's the point if nobody is "eating/drinking"? Or was this another "symbolic" illustrations that Jesus used that was not meant for the modern day "great crowd". Excuse my ranting but I've finally made a decision about something and I'm trying to get some backbone about saying what I have to say and being about to point out some of the "big" inconsistencies(sp) I see for myself. -

The Purpose of Beth Sarim
by VM44 inbeth sarim, the house in san diego rutherford had built and lived in.. from the proclaimers book, page 76,a few years after brother rutherford?s death, the board of directors of the watch tower society decided to sell beth-sarim.
"the watchtower" of december 15, 1947, explained: "it had fully served its purpose and was now only serving as a monument quite expensive to keep; our faith in the return of the men of old time whom the king christ jesus will make princes in all the earth (not merely in california) is based, not upon that house beth-sarim, but upon god?s word of promise.
but, did the watchtower of december 15,1947 state what was the purpose beth-sarim had fully served?.

I read that somewhere too that Beth Sarim was for Abraham and others to live in when they were resurrected. I wonder if it was "New Light" or embarassment that made them to sell the house.

Do your acquaintances know you?re a JW (or former witness)?
by senselessly sane ini remember deliberately not telling people when i was growing up, and cringing when my mom made an effort to tell my teachers.
although i no longer hide it, there are still people i consider friends who do not know i grew up jw.
sometimes it?s just that the subject of religion does not come up often, and when it does, it would be weird to say something now after i?ve known someone for years and have never mentioned it.

I hate the fact that sometimes when I'm with my mom in public(very rare) but anyway for some unknown reason the discussion of religion always seems to come up and she tells people that I'm JW but not active right now and when I quickly tell them that no she's a JW I'm a Baptist she gets highly upset. I try and try to tell her to stop doing this but she insists. I guess in her mind once a JW always a JW...So very not true.

Are All the Anointed Virgins???
by Sweetp0985 insince the jw's are always speaking of the 144,000 that are chosen out of the jw organization.
how many are actually anointed as is spoken of here in revelation 14:1-51 and i looked, and, lo, a lamb stood on the mount sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his father's name written in their foreheads.
2 and i heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and i heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps: 3 and they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.

Another thing I have problems with comprehending is that the JW's feel that most of the early JW (rutherford, norr, etc) were definitely of the anointed but back then weren't these all the same ones that used to smoke, celebrate xmas/bdays, have blood transfusions and other stuff that was later cut out by MEN but these are the ones that are viewed as being worthy of going to heaven even though they all partook of things that were deemed a df'ing matter today. Oh my bad, this is new light time so it didnt matter back then.
I'm just undecided on alot of things right now and trying to get opinions from others.

Since the JW's are always speaking of the 144,000 that are chosen out of the JW organization. How many are actually anointed as is spoken of here in Revelation 14:1-5
1 And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads. 4 These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb. 5 And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.
I know for a fact of some of the "ANOINTED" that were married. Did they get married and not have sex with their wife? Or did they remain a "virgin" throughout their life here on earth?
Am I understanding this scripture wrong in verse 4 to be referring to those that according to JW's are the only ones going to heaven? Or is this another display of misinterperting(sp) the bible? Please help me out with this one...

Undaunted I read the article about Prince, as if HE would ever get disfellowshipped... I heard the lyrics to one of his other "goody-goody" songs and was shocked. I guess even if he does slip a word in or two he won't get df'd because of all the publicity about him being a JW. Just like Venus and Serena running around the tennis court carrying the flag...anyone else would have been pulled in somebody's committee room...

I'm confused about the Trinity also and my scripture I like to use is John 1:1. In the beginning was THE WORD, and THE WORD was WITH GOD, and THE WORD WAS A GOD..(as it reads in NWt)..so my question is if THE WORD is supposed to be JESUS...and this scripture is saying he was A GOD...how does this go along with other scriptures that says Jehovah is the ONLY TRUE GOD????
