among dubs who are true believers(tm) they will readily admit that their religious leaders have "made mistakes.

" few of them however, will admit that their leaders are intentional and calculating liars, dirty rotten lying liars who lie in order to blind their flock and to conceal their own dirty laundary and miserable failures in both doctrine and policy.

i'll give but one example.

Initially, before they realize that you know, they will go on in a whatever-do-you-mean? sort of way, in an attempt to make you look dumb and them look not dumb.

In my own experience whenever I made a point that they couldn't argue anymore OR when I USED to be a dub when in the FS when the householder made a good point they usually would give that Satan truly has a hold on them speech or Satan truly has them blinded. But yet and still the points given were facts that could be proven.I've even been called an antichrist by my JW mom because I don't agree with the teachings of the dubs.....

I'm taking 16 hrs at LSU.

I'm going to be an Accounting Major but this is my first year in college so my first semester looks like a high school schedule....

Math, English, ISDS(whatever da hell that is), Spanish, and Biology..

I had to come back and add this tidbit for Billygoat..never give up hope...I've been out of school for almost 10 yrs and this is gonna be my first year in college.. I almost gave up hope trying to go..but I'm finally living part of my dream...So never give up and you'll be able to go one day....

My Lunch with an active JW today

johnny and i go back all the way to childhood.

we met in elementary school all those years ago.

he was a chubby, one-eyed kid with freckles and a coat that didn't fit him and i was a tall and vanishingly thin introvert who wore dress pants instead of blue jeans.

Later I mentioned that the Watchtower had carried many articles under Rutherford condemning Aluminum utensils. He said he had read about those and that there MUST HAVE BEEN SOMETHING TO THAT. I asked why. He then said, "They don't make aluminum cookware anymore---there has to be a reason for that".
I calmly looked at him and said, "People don't ride horses anymore, there must be a reason for that too."

I couldn't have said it better myself....So very nicely put...

we, as witnesses were taught to believe that our giving the "truth" to people was the most important gift we could give!

forget about giving money to charities or helping any other group out----we needed to give them the "real life".

do you find yourself giving back to the community or to others now that you're out?

I started out by giving donations to United Way. Then I progressed to donating plasma, mostly because I needed the little money they gave you for donating but I was helping out other people too...Now I just donate blood...I feel better donating blood too because I get no compensation for it. The only thing is they call and hassle me sometimes to come and donate because my type of blood can be used for more people(O positive). I try to go as much as I can but I'm very busy most of the time. My JW mom had a hissy fit when she found out I was donating plasma, now she has cows whenever I tell her I just finished donating blood. When I got my driver's license renewed last month I also became an organ donor.......

This is kinda off topic but I just had to post it somewhere....Talking to my JW mom this morning and she asked me about coming to the meeting on Sunday. To which I replied...no I don't think I'll be coming back there anytime soon. I don't have no reason to come there. To this she replied," Are trying to be 'antichrist'? An I was like "WHAT"??? Are you trying to be antichrist...going against Jehovah's organization or in opposition to Jehovah is antichrist. This totally pissed me off being that it was early in the morning and I was on my way to work anyway but I told her, "antichrist means against Jesus and I love Jesus and not against him. And you saying I'm against Jehovah's organization would mean that I'm an 'antiJehovah" which I'm not that either because I love Jehovah/God (same person). She then said "Tasha you really need to do some research" I said,"the reason I don't and never want to come back to the KH is because I HAVE BEEN DOING RESEARCH (yes I hollered)...and my research shows that you may actually be the antichrist. I then got the poor Tasha you're so confused bit. I ended with just telling her she really needs to do some research and not me.....

After about 15-20 mins. the phone rang again and I knew it was her because no one calls this early in the morn. She called back to tell me she still loved me and she hopes one day she'll see me back at the KH. I told her I loved her too.( I was still pissed about being called an antichrist/antiJehovah because I don't want to be a JW again?

when you stop believing the bible to be the word of god the motives behind the actions of gods prophets and followers come across rather differently.

in fact much like fundlmentlists today.you have joshua comiting genocide , and paul moving in and tacking control of the christians and changing the religion to his own beliefs.

which other characters actions can be interpreted differenly when you see them just as ordinary humans with more selfish motives?

Speaking of Noah and the Ark...if all the earth flooded and no creatures/animals survived except those in the ark, what about all these little bitty ass irritating insects that we still have...Did Noah go around and get each one of them too...Or did God create them again after the flood. Think about how dirt is now after a little rain. Ground all soggy, trees falling over in some places. There are some plants that can't take being under water for 2 weeks less more than 40 days/nights. But yet there was that good ole olive tree that survived right? I mean mosquitoes, cockroaches, rats, mice, gerbils, hamsters, fleas(well i guess those could have been on some of the animals), the wicked serpent(why did he even allow Noah to take snakes on the ark if they were cursed anyway???), there are so many more animals that I wonder about but Noah had every last one of them in the ark right and those that didn't make it in the ark survived 40 days/nights of water.....RIIIGGHHHTTTT!!!!!!

What day was man created?

according to the bibles account of creation, there seems to be a contridiction as to when man was created.

the theory accepted by most people i've spoken to is that, according to gen 2:7, 7 and jehovah god proceeded to form the man out of dust from the ground and to blow into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man came to be a living soul, stating that man was created on the seventh creative day.. however, genesis 1:27 states that on the 6th creative day, 27 and god proceeded to create the man in his image, in god?s image he created him; male and female he created them.. so were man created on the 6th or 7th creative day?

and if god created man on the 7th day, then later created woman from man why does the bible state that he created man and woman at the same time on the 6th day?
