  i managed to get my scanner working on another pc.

  i'm not sure about the policy about posting scans of watchtowers here so if you want me to send you the scans let me know.

  In Galatians chapter 1 and verse 8, the Apostle Paul emphasizes how important it is that we do that. Notice Galatians chapter 1 verse 8. Here, Paul stresses what we need to do if someone presents to us a teaching that doesn't fit into the pattern of truth that's been given to us. Here he says, "However, even if we or an angel out of heaven were to declare to you as good news something beyond what we declared to you as good news, let him be accursed."

  [23:23] So friends, hypothetically, and I repeat, hypothetically, even if an angel were to come down here and land on this platform, today, at this moment, and to present something to us that didn't fit into the pattern of truth, what should we be ready to do? We should be ready to say, " Hold on there, that doesn't fit into the pattern, and I am not going to listen to it!" Yes, even if it were one of Jehovah's angels.

  So WTS is basically saying if an angel of Jehovah were to approach you (they think any and all spirits are demons anyway), and tell you something outside of their WTS ways of teaching to not listen to them. But the bible says, "Do notforget to entertain strangers", so they are telling you to disregard the bible?

  Ok I mentioned it on another post (so many I can't remember which one) but I'm currently reading CoC and every day I come on this board and find out some piece of informtion that I can see plain as day as a false teaching that they are condemning every other religion/church for but they are doing the same damn thing. I am really at the highest point of pissivity (if that is a word) right now and want to go picket the local KH's here but I'm too well known and my parents would disown me further than they already have. BTW my mom told me that yesterday, "you're not my daughter until you respect me = come back to JW organization" but she spent the night at my demonic non-JW believing apt. Whenever I bring this up she says she staying there to encourage my brother who was never baptized but has recently started going to the KH but still agrees with me on alot of issues. He really doesnt care but he goes to keep moms and pops happy.

  The Watchtower magazine kind of sucks...

  i was at the meeting the other day and this brother gave a really really good talk (waits for the stones and sticks to be thrown at him).

  but seriously it was a very good talk just because it was a good talk.

  he actually talked about jesus and different things and he talked about very deep issues and he brought it out great.

  I see I wasn't the only one with my body in a KH that Sunday. The public talk that was given that Sunday was very wishy washy. At first it was going ok about giving Jehovah glory which all need to do. But then he started talking about only the JW's give God glory properly and they're the only ones giving him true glory. OOOOKKKKK.

  But in reference to the Watchtower study for that day. I saw it as passing the collection plate without the "literal" collection plate. I'm still silently counting down the days until "new light" comes and tithing is initiated (sp).

  Swamp Thing I'm currently reading CoC also and its very eye-opening. I have In Search of Christian Freedom waiting at home to be read next. I tried to explain something as simple as the UN scandal to my JW mom and she just blew up. I tried to use a illustration and she still got mad. The truth really hurts I guess.

  Ex. used...If you constantly told your son/daughter not to go to next door neighbor;s house because they were evil and you constantly non-stop always told them this and then one day your son/daughter sees you over there, what do you think that child is going to think? A normal person would say something like "if i was that child I would think what's wrong with you for going to that evil house, or it must be OK to go to that house now"....My mom got hysterical saying I need to keep my thoughts to myself. One day their eyes will be open. I'm not going to tell them anything else I find.

  Is the International Bible Students Association still a part of Watchtower?

  i'm currently reading coc and i'm in the 5th chap.

  but i read in the book about the ibsa being a "corporation" of the wts, are they still considered a part of it?

  i went to the ibsa website and it had a link about charities that the ibsa donates too and it listed 2 kingdom halls and 2 assembly halls as receivers of the donations.

  When you go to the bottom and type in just Jehovah you come to this:

  So IBSA is just a legal corporation that WTS uses to make more money right, and because it wasn't making enough money they shut it down??????

  Sorry but I'm on a limited budget to order the information that they will have faxed to me in under an hour. I got enough information already to know that these links are people that must regularly take donations from the IBSA. Laundering money is about right and then with the big Jimmy Swaggart/Donation Basis "TAX EVASION" I guess Jehovah is telling them to do this since they are his mouthpiece right?

  I bet if I asked my elder uncle that wants to talk to me now about this he would probably say it's Jehovah's word spoken through Jesus. But then he might not because how would that corrulate(sp) with the organization being "Jehovah's mouthpiece". Why are they so many so scared to think for once. I'm glad you brought that scripture out. I'm going to add that to my long list of questions that I'm preparing for my sit down with my uncle elder. I wonder if he'll stay around for the whole list or label me apostate with the first 2-3 questions.

  I hate the way they say Jehovah brings things to light when 9 out of 10 times its usually the person committing the "wrongdoing" or someone else witnessing the "wrongdoing" that comes forth and tells. I used to hate that. That's the only way they find out stuff. Nosey people telling on someone when they have the "camel in their eye" complex or from the elders being "sherlock "elder" homes" and following you because your meeting attendance/field service time has dropped. That's the only way they find out stuff. I wonder how many times has Jehovah actually showed them somebody was doing this and you need to talk to them.

  I'm in the same boat with you. I was inactive for almost an year before I finally decided to go ahead and have the JC meeting. I already knew what the outcome would be, but now for some reason, I guess because I've been going to church and getting a better relationship with GOD I see more how they are a bunch of ________ (fill in the blank with whatever you want to) and want people to believe you are dead if you're not a JW.

I went to the IBSA website and it had a link about charities that the IBSA donates too and it listed 2 kingdom halls and 2 assembly halls as receivers of the donations. So if the IBSA is still a part or rather "corporation" of the WTS and they just have "similiar" beliefs but not the same beliefs, why does the WTS accept money from them? I take that question back they want money from anyone, but why isn't published anywhere that the IBSA is still a part of the WTS in London or is that another one of their big secrets?

  out of the many memorials i have been to, i only recall 1 when a bethelite came to give our talk and he was of the anointed and partook of the emblems.

  but anyway i've read a post on here and heard about a person in my local area that partook of the emblems and their "anointed" status was questioned.

  but anyway i've read a post on here and heard about a person in my local area that partook of the emblems and their "anointed" status was questioned.
