My Jw mother hates me and always has
by 20yearfader ini just need to vent,you see i was a born in.it's taken me 20 years after fading from the org to finally get my mind free from the wt dogma.i was on the phone with my aunt today and the subject of my mother her older sister came up.now mind you i haven't spoken to my mother in a month or so after my daughter stayed the weekend at her house and she was being tag teamed about the hall and how i took a vow to jehovah and i'm a failure and i'll be destroyed at armagedon.this exchange upset my daughter so much that she was near the point of tears when she returned home and she hasnt spoken to my mother or father since.anyway back to the conversation with my aunt,she let it slip that my mother told her that she wished she had let the seamen that fertilized the egg that produced me had slid down her legnno bear in mind i can remember as a child running into her room playing and she would say to me as a 7 year old child "i wished i had left you in oblivion"this is one of many such saying my mother had for me......i wasn't a bad child i just wasn't allowed to do anything such as going outside going over a friends house....etc,i have struggled for years as to why this woman hates me so.i got baptized at 15 really as a way of pleasing them what the hell does a child know at 15??
?granted it took me some time to get myself together and put those hurtful comments in the past,but today when my aunt let it slip about what my mother has said about me it was like pulling a scap off of a wound.my wife always complains about how im emotionless and distance,this was done by me as a way of protecting myself.so i've decided and i hate to say this that my christian god fearing parents...are dead to me there is no way i can have a relationship with people that are so wicked and since she never wanted me anyway....it works out for the best thx i just needed to vent i felt like i was going to pop..

No sane normal mother speaks of such intimate things with a 7 year old son.
She is and has always been sick and twisted. Take the Witchtower's advice and view her as a dangerous poisonous snake to be treated with great caution.
YOu dont need her. So stop giving her the opprtunity to hurt you again.

it is merely a "theological arrangement".
this was obviously an attempt to get those responsible at the top of the corporation "off the hook".. now the wtbts says explicitly that the fds are the same as the governing body of eight men in brooklyn.. does this mean that the australian courts can attempt to subpoena these eight men, as the charges are against (among others) the fds and the gb?.

on the one hand, they claim that he was so drunk that the brothers at bethel shipped him to san diego to beth sarim, where he stayed drunk out of his mind, then on the other hand, they claimed that he ruled the society with an iron fist, that he was a dictator.
no drunk could have ruled the society like a dictator.

by XPeterX inthe announcement was something like "[name] got checked".well if he ain't got df'ed then what does this mean?is it based on the bible?where does this policy come from?how is the rest of the congregation supposed to behave to that person in a situation like this?what happened in the background anyway?is he checked for a period of time or what?any restrictions?.

A few years ago there was a whole series of talks by COs and Elduhs about long courtships and engagements.
I dont know if they were worried about FORNICATION.
At one time people got engaged then married when they could afford it. Then a whole series of weddings were brought forward - I dont know whether because of private counsel from the elduhs, whether the bride was already up the duff and they needed to disguise it, or the couple KNEW they would be at it before the "CELEBRATION DAY" (This is the Wedding day - the only anniversary witlesses can celebrate - thier first fuck... who said YHWH was NOT a fertility and sex god?????)
Some friends of mine were marked because they had set a wedding date for over a year after their engagement.
The brides father had lost his wife suddenly. The fact he had just paid for a funeral didnt wash with the bastads.

by cedars ini'm just doing some research for my book, and i uncovered a real gem from the watch tower of july 1st 1914 - published three months before the "gentile times" were due to end climaxing (as they thought back then) in armageddon.. a rather brave "colporteur" (pioneer) wrote in to the magazine asking whether the studies in the scriptures series of books advocating 1914 to be the end of the world should cease to be circulated after october.
not only does the question itself prove that the expectations of publishers back then were entirely contrary to what the society repeatedly implies them to be, but the answer given by russell shows the same arrogance and evasiveness that we see in modern literature from the society, showing how little has changed since those days.. here is the clipping.... .
notice how russell falls back on the same line of argumentation used by the society, namely "we have not attempted to say these views are infallible.".

My place is in disarray so cannot find the book "Aeons the Search for the Beginning of Time" by Martin Gorst which discusses this and how Ussher arrived at the date.
And here we are a hundred years later - and it is certainly of interest how little of Russell's crap survived.
