  Cyclists?

  are there any other people here who are into bicycling or handcycling?.

  last year, my husband got a handcycle (he can't use a bicycle due to handicap) and i got a new bicycle and we have been enjoying cycling.

  last september, we went on our first cycling tour and did the 20 mile.

  Golfing--1st time

  i went golfing for the first time, today.

  i had a great time!.

  i think i had such a good time because none of them were particularly competitive or overly serious about the game.

  Kingdom Halls for Sale

  in the past year, i have noticed that two kingdom halls in my area are closed and for sale and i haven't heard from any of the locals (i am in a rural area) about the jws here building any new ones to meet in.

  i was wondering, is this an increasing trend throughout the us or just a local phenonenon?

  dare we hope that the dubs will go out of business in other regions?.

  It's Snowing! It's Snowing!

  it looked so drab here, yesterday, and i was thinking, "gee, i hope it snows so we can have a white christmas.".

  well, when i woke up this morning, it was snowing!!.

  i've celebrated christmas for several years, now, but i was always in warm weather climates.

  well, it is district convention time again.

  my mother is an active jw and faithfully attends these long, brainwashing sessions.

  she and i have fairly close contact and, over the past few years, i have noticed a definite pattern in her behavior after she attends the district conventions.

  High Ridge, MO or Cedar Hill, MO?

  i was in the high ridge, mo congo as a little girl from 1980-1982 and later was in the cedar hill congo from 1987-1988. i would be interested in hearing from exjws who were in those congos during those times.

  if you were there, maybe i would remember you!

  look forward to maybe reuniting with some folks!.
