Thank you,

thw wts likes to play games with their statistics.
one interesting but truly tragic is the number of jwhovah's witnesses who commit suicie.. now i suspect that if a person commits suicide shortly before or after they are disfellowshipped then the elders would say that person wasn't a witness or that they had done something so terrible that they were too guilty to admit it and by their action of committing suicide they pretty much declared they were no longer a jw.. yup fancy talk to make sure any crap didn't fall on them.. so my question.. do you know of cases like this?
if so then can you answer a few more questions.. had this person been dfed or in real danger of being dfed or whatever the equivalent is if they were never baptized?.
Thank you,
Sparrowdown

Felt I needed to add yet another casualty to your list, so sad.
My brother in law committed suicide last Friday night. (the JW memorial)
He was never baptized but studied. I would describe him as a JW wannabe.
He never felt good enough to be one, also he just couldn't make sense out of all the convoluted JW doctrines.
He had lots of other issues for sure, but I'm sure the shunning by the JW side of the family absolutely played a role.
RIP Robert

wfmz channel 69 is doing several interviews with killers and other stuff through out this week... here is the first interview http://www.wfmz.com/news/news-regional-lehighvalley/conversation-with-convicted-killer-bryan-freeman/31472504.
i remember sitting behind the family at the meeting just days before they were killed.. it was also weird that their house was only a block or two from the allentown south, kingdom hall.. can't believe this was 20 years ago..
Bryan went back to being a JW......... seriously??
2nd installment in the series today:
http://www.wfmz.com/news/news-regional-berks/oneonone-with-convicted-killer-bryan-freeman/31480030
Jaccii: "You grow up in a Jehovah's Witness home, and then you end up being a neo-Nazi. How did that happen?"
Bryan: "I guess it was more circumstances than anything else at the time. I had rejected my parents' beliefs and was trying to find something I could identify with."
Jaccii: "Do you still identify with all of the neo-Nazi movement?"
Bryan: "No. I had to move on."
Bryan said his grandfather visited him in prison often over the years and helped him return to the Jehovah's Witness faith.
He knew he'd eventually have to face the rest of his family.
"Basically, I just apologized for everything that happened and I just told them I had wished that I had found a better way and that things would be different, and that I was going to make every effort to try to be a better person," Bryan said.
Bryan's family did forgive him and visits him regularly, but he has no contact with his aunt, Valerie Freeman, who found the bodies of his parents and little brother.

suavojr,
There was an understandable shock and somber mood in the hall.
One thing that made me raise an eyebrow was
the announcements in the meeting to not talk to the media.

to all those who frequent this discussion board:.
we just wanted you to know that an investigative public radio program named reveal, produced by cir (center for investigative reporting) and prx, will present today, saturday, february 14th, the results of new investigations uncovering hidden stories.
in this weeks story, there will be three different topics covered.
Thanks, sent this to some JW family.
Bye, bye watchtower $$$$$$$$.
Eventually they will lose.
26"Therefore do not fear them, for there is nothing concealed that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known. 27"What I tell you in the darkness, speak in the light; and what you hear whispered in your ear, proclaim upon the housetops.…
on monday evening, feb. 16th, on the pbs newshour, there will be a segment discussing jehovah's witnesses.
generally, the newshour airs at 6 p.m. in different time zones across the united states..
please don't miss it.
Thanks will set DVR.
Love that they are finally getting some scrutiny.
i have to thank tv.jw!!!
(im not putting the complete link, but you know what i mean).
after showing my wife the 'trolley song' as we now call it, she was rolling on the floor in embarrassment and shock.. she shook her head, and was clearly troubled by what we watched.. little by little, the org is actually helping more to wake up!
Thought that song title sounded a little familiar, "If you could see what I see".
so i live pretty close to the jw pyramid in pittsburgh and i have thought about going there and attaching a sign of some sort to the pyramid.
i was thinking of using a qrcode to link to something.
link.
I'm from the Lehigh Valley area and went to see it a year ago.
I took some good pictures of it and the quite large cemetery and buildings.
You should go there is something to say for literally seeing things in person.
It's very easy to find the cemetery and you can't miss the pyramid, you'll see it as soon as you turn in .
after a thorough investigation and weighing of the evidence the grand jury has decided not to indict the officer.. the reaction so far seems as predicted - people refuse to accept that the result represents justice despite claims that is what they wanted.. there is now violence and vandalism, including gunshots.
let's hope the police contain the troublemakers.. .
That UN article hit the nail on the head.
"Entitled thug", two words which sum it all up.
