Juneteenth being celebrated by JWs
by Anony Mous inso today i saw a group of jws i know, we were sitting down to eat at a public place and i guess they (mom and daughter) were performing at an event with their sports team… for juneteenth.. they (the entire team) happened to sit next to us for some fast food and i recognized them and said hi, hoping to make them uncomfortable.
they actually said hi and introduced themselves to my family, i’ve seen them before (they go to the same school as one of my kids) and they usually ignore me.
i know for a fact they and their family still goes, the family patriarch is an elder etc.

It's possible to do multiple things at the same time. At least for normal functioning people.
Here is a classic Trump snippet of the flag pole ceremony. LOL

I forgot about that view! It was one of the best in NYC.
It would take us 1 hour 20 min to be out front of the factory buildings. I've lost count of the times being there. I remember way back somehow my brother would finagle us to stay in an open apartment or house.overnight.
Who remebers all the tunnels between the buildings?
Growing up going to NYC equated going to bethel.
it wasn't till I left JW that I realized "hey you can just go to NYC to have fun." lol

It’s easy to judge others from a distance, but that rarely helps. People are complicated. Some stay in institutions for reasons that might seem weak, such as fear of shunning or sunk cost fallacy, while others stay because they are trying to do something good.
It seems you are combining all christian groups into one big lump. My judgement is specifically for JW's. My judgement is not from a distance, I lived it. Ever hear of the "KISS" acronym Keep It Simple Stupid. I'm sorry, but all the complications you speak of are all just excuses for staying in. That's fine if that's what you want to do, but then don't cry about it.
I was in Rome for 3 days and spent a day at the Vatican and St. Peters Basilica. It is overwhelming and amazing. Go early it gets crowded., everything is crowded over there. If you can take a tour of one of the Catacombs, that was really cool to me. Well, actually the whole area is incredible. The Roman Forum, Castel SantAngelo, Trevi fountain and of course the Colliseum and so many other places to see. -

Know it’s not true but stay anyway
by Elena inhow many of the millions of jws know it’s not true but stay anyway?.
my guess is most jws know it’s not true on a subconscious level to an extent but they don’t want to think about it too much and would never ever voice it out loud.. but this is probably true with all religions around the world?.

There is a profuse amount of information, experiences and history about JW'S that is readily available.
Members still in are there because of either sunk cost fallacy, fear, family ties, stupidity, willfull ignorance, need of a controlled group, narcissistic feelings or some combination of these.
One thing for sure, intelligence is not keeping anyone in.

My brother would show us the progress and the renovations on this hotel when we visited. He was on the slave labor demolition crew. He would show us all kinds of secret things at Bethel. I remember being in Fred Franz's office, "DON"T TOUCH ANYTHING' that was soooo special. LOL
He is still going strong as a special pioneer, living on the Watchtower's rations, still fully indoctrinated and loyal to the cult, though they were pretty upset getting kicked out of Bethel with over 30 years there. Love to know his take on this, but I'm a diseased apostate so that's not happening.

The Governing Body is Restructuring the Org.and encouranging young ones to REACH OUT!
by liam inthe governing body just doesn't let up on encouraging the young children to reach out to do free labor for the organization.
so another generation of young people with ruined lives.
another generation of young people that will get old and wake up in their 50s to realize they were in a religious doomsday cult.. and they are getting rid of some old workers that ran the branches of the organization, and giving them different assignments or maybe they are just sending them home, who knows.

Marky Mark and the governing body bunch gotta get you a woman.
Marky, boy, is that you?
I thought your post-hangin' days were through
Sunk-in eyes and full of sighs
Tell no lies, you get wise
I tell you now, we're gonna pull you through
There's only one thing left that we can do
[Chorus]
We gotta get you a woman
It's like nothin' else to make you feel sure you're alive
We gotta get you a woman
We better get walkin', we're wastin' time talkin' now -

There isn't a man alive that hasn't rubbed one out, including virgin Marky Mark and the governing body bunch, but I'm not including Jesus. I think I just made myself a little sick.
