((( KLS ))) I think flowers sent to a family member close to your sister might be a good thing. It could help bring final closure to you. I'm grateful for you that "it's over".
Hugs and much love

From Jw to born again .................
by vitty inwhen i was "in" the borg ( i love that word) i really , really believed that when ppl left it, they became like the undead.
with no direction in life and no religion, i felt sorry for them.. i never thought that they became ............born again or heaven forbid catholic !!!!!!.
when i first started looking at sites on the internet i came across www.jwinfoline.com what an eye opener !

For me the explanation is simple: From one egocentric, self-righteous, fanatic group to another. Just replacing what they lost or left behind.
Me? I'm a born-again agnostic!

"Grateful for God's Protection"
by Scully ini just unsubscribed from a crafting newsletter that i have been receiving for a couple of years.
all along, i have been willing to overlook the "uber-christian" leanings because they offered some neat things like free fonts and cute scrapbooking ideas.
but today they had a feature called "customer spotlight" that just irked the heck out of me:.

It's disgusting to me, too. How much more self-righteous and egocentric can these idiots be?

IS AIDS AIRBORNE??( AND OTHER CONCERNS BASED ON SUNDAY WT.)
by stillAwitness inthe wt study article for sunday was: a law of love in hearts taken from jerimaiah 31:33: "i will put my law within them and in their heart i shall write it.
" (anyone who knows the basis for this scripture please let me know.
this wt study really intrigued me b/c a lot of the points and even the comments that were made from the congregation a lot of times did not make sense or were just totally out of context.

Opinion - looking for some insight
by free2beme ini was wondering something and wanted to see what others thought .... my sister, an active witness, recently became a foster parent to a baby.
in history, the baby is the child of my uncles underage girlfriend, that he is now serving time for raping (under age, always seen as a rape).
the young woman was doing meth (clean for almost a year now), and was living with her own mother who was an alcoholic.

Foster child or not, I don't see that marriage being made in heaven or on earth for much longer. They are too opposit in their desires, and both are manipulative.... her manipulation is obvious. He is covertly manipulative by not addressing the issues directly.
Poor baby!

I agree with Tetrapod. What you are experiencing is absolutely normal for the human female animal. It's hormone driven. Although like someone else brough up, there may be some emotional issues involved too.
(((( Kitties )))) I truly appreciate your level head in this matter: Knowing that it's not the best for you or the child you would bring into the world. Keep your head. You'll have children when your situation is ready. You have another 15 good childbearing years ahead of you. Another 10 of not quite so good. (by good I mean fertile)

Right to die
by onacruse inso, now we embark on yet another chapter of the legal battle about whether a person has the right to terminate their human life, with the approval and assistance of medical professionals who are otherwise sworn to preserve life.. oregon is the only state in the united states with such a law (physician-assisted suicide, as so called), though many other countries recognize this act as a fundamental right; and this law, passed by a considerable majority of voters in this state, is now up for review, and very possible rejection, by the obviously conservative and religiously right-leaning supreme court of the us, with a new leader hand-picked by...well, let's not go there.
for myself, i have no hesitation whatsoever: if i'm faced with the virtual inevitability of suffering a prolonged and painful death, versus a relatively painless and reasonably quiet termination, at my own hands, with those i love, then god-damn anybody who would stand between me and the right i have over my body.. what do you think?.
ps: i post this in friends...perhaps it should be in another section?

I feel more strongly that it is wrong for me to dictate to another person their rights over their own life.
I truly appreciate your stand on this. I am a pro-choice person (choice in abortion and euthenasia) because I don't believe it is my right or responsibility to legislate my opinions.
"We", Oregon, made ABC World News Tonight, lastnight. It was a really good article. It interviewed a man dying of leukemia, who received his prescription for barbituates. His outlook lightened when he had control of his life and outcome. He didn't know if he would use them, be felt relief that he could make the choice.
Just because someone makes the choice to ask, and receive the drugs, doesn't mean they will use them. Many have died before their request was filled. Many have died without making the choice, once they had the drugs. To date there have been less than 300 who chose their own death since the law became effective in 1997. In 2004 37 people opted to hasten their death.
The web site
I am a firm believer in death with dignity.
