Cats. 4 of 'em. I've had 4 others in the past and I'll tell you each one is totally different from each other! We have a pride, and a very nice one at that.

I "force" them to get held and cuddled on occasion because I'm mom-cat and I can! They've learned to trust me. They know that when they want down I will put them down gently. Even Princess has learned this and no longer claws her way out of our arms.

I kiss them gently ontop of the their widdle heads. Max, at night, will often kiss and wash my eyes! Then when he really wants attention - about 3 A.M. he'll walk up and down my body meowing loudly (he's 19 pounds). If that doesn't get my attention, he'll give me a wet willy! Argh!

I've had a couple of dogs as an adult. They were both awesome creatures! The 2nd one, Tippett, turned me back into a dog person. She was so smart and so sensitive.

What were your best moments and souvenirs of 2005?

for me, 2005 was a great year.

i travelled a good distance to meet wonderful people last july at an apostofest (thank-you mumsy and gary) .

i met a wonderful person here on jwd, and she became a great friend (that's you buttlight) .

"winning" my Social Security Disability. Third filing in 7 years - and 2 years 8 months of bureaucratic hoops.

Spending 5 weeks in Hilo Hawaii.

Kevan buying a house in Hilo for our retirement. (We're moving in 3-1/2 years)

Finding the most wonderful kitten at the Hilo Farmers Market - who has brought our pride together and provided us with many hours of amusement and pleasure.

i feel that as a country we waste so much time and money fighting prostitution and marijuana use.

not that i think these things are something everyone should use, but the fact that we make these illegal and yet other things happen that are the same thing, or worse.

for example, in nevada, outside the city limits, it is legal for prostitution.

claim that marijuana causes cancer.

If you smoke it it can cause mouth and lung cancer because of the tars and other chemicals released with burning materials. Case proven.

Hmmm... well, as another resident of the Netherlands I gotta say that the prophecies of doom regarding the decriminalisation of cannabis and legalised prostitution are all false.
We've had decriminalised pot and legal whores here for decades, the sky has not fallen and society has not collapsed. Hell, we've even let gays marry for years and STILL society doesn't collapse! LOL
So all the slippery slope arguments are rubbish and can be disregarded.

Abaddon - i'm looking on with interest to see what Nederlands does with legalization of marijuana farming and manufacturing. It will be the first country to do so.

I work with teenagers and in my experience, pot can bring on schizophrenia and paranoid delusions.

This is now medically documented in a new book released by JAMA. MJ should not be smoked by children and teens.

MJ does not need to be burned to get the benefits. There are products called vaporizers that heat the herb to temperature below igition releasing 5 cannibinoids withought releasing carbon monoxide, tar, and the 100+ bad chemicals that burning releases. Pills don't work - onset is too long. mouth spray has been determined to be more effective in controlling the dose.

I'm in Oregon and so far we have some of the more liberal law on Medical Marijuana (MMJ).

Prostitution: Legalization would protect children from exploitation. There are pleanty of male prostitutes out there these days too.
