Glad you joined the board and hope you stay and read . In 1996 I would have sounded much like you. First the Watchtower Society does not speak for Jehovah. Second, you grew up with some mentally ill , seriously dysfunctional people. I did too. It took me years of therapy to figure out I was not crazy- I was raised in a crazy environment .

You sound really depressed and should probably go see a therapist and just tell them what you have told us. They will probably refer you to a doctor who can prescribe meds.

You are not evil- the WTS is evil for making people feel this bad about themselves. Dude ( or dudette) , do you have any dead bodies in the trunk of your car? If not you are just a human like the rest of us.

If this is really true , then the wts has been wrong all these years about the "end" not involving literal jews. It was always "spiritual Israelites ". According to them the current nation of Israel has Nothing to do with the end--yet if what they say now is true, the nation of Israel and her enemies has EVERYTHING to do with the end..

some terrible flooding happening there.. i never realized that texas was so prone to serious floods and flash-floods because of the geography and weather.

it tops the stats nearly every year for flood fatalities.. stay safe, stay dry if you can and don't take any chances.

water is unbelievably powerful - whatever vehicle you have it can sweep it away like a twig.

last night was another awful one. folks in Midlothian, TX got hit bad and areas near it and in front of it. More rain to come today. Where I am we got fearsome lighting and thunder and rain but the wind did not get bad. We lost power briefly but other than our yard still a swamp.

this is going to trip you out, after talking with a jw friend who left the org and has great rage against god he's turning to satan.

he lives with his jw brother and decided host gathering for people interesting in worshiping the devil.

how will this outcome work with holy people claiming to be jws seeing some guys and girls dressed in dark robes?

My advice is " this too shall pass". I never joined the church of Satan etc, but after leaving developed a real interest in tarot and all things like that. It ran it course and while I still own the tarot cards, I know they are just a tool of introspection and not a portal to the spirit world or hell.. Boring....

In several cites this May has broken the record for the amount of rainfall. before 2015, 1982 held that record in several areas.

I'm in north Texas ,and where I am at the flooding has not been too serious. It has rained and our lawns are water logged and there is standing water, but no serious flooding. Just a few miles north of us it has been much worse and tornados have touched down. Our lawn is a swamp and it will take several days of dry weather for it to not be soggy. Houston and other areas have not been so lucky. Some of Houston is under water.

Before the rainfall we had been in a several year drought and now only 3 lakes in Texas are not full and running over and the three that aren't full are within 1 foot of full. So thank goodness the drought is over but time for the rain to stop.

I say this and we have an overcast sky and severe weather predicted for the pm/night. Here we go again.
