I have to tell you that most experts discount almost completely satanic ritual abuse. I was a youngish adult during the 80'-90's when it was quite a thing and saw psychiatry using it as a legitimate diagnoses and police actually thinking it was real. It has almost always been discounted. I do believe some people are crazy enough engage in this behavior but it was mostly a phase that the country went through and psychiatry went through. -

"Report it to the elders if you hear anyone in the congregation talking bad about the GB"

This is not new. I have been around since the 60's and sometime in the 70's started hearing things like that. It went wild in the 80-90's Jw's reporting each other- lots of JC's and DF'ings. Nothing new hear. According to them no one is to be trusted, report anyone, even your own family.

Fishermen, think twice before you Pm anyone and ask PERSONAL questions. There is an unwritten rule about that on DB's- don't do it. It is considered sneaky and underhanded. You are the one who broke privacy rules here, Not M. You a mole, Fishermen? -

I enjoyed reading this very much however, the thought of going into a Orthodoxy system sends shivers down my spine. -

This thread does not even come close to a train wreck. No reason to shut the thread down , although it would be nice if Fisherman to stopped calling names. This is a very mild thread indeed compared to some I've read.
I have enjoyed reading first hand accounts of Bethel and hope more will comment.
Oh, and I think it is very sneaky to Pm someone with a lot of questions, personal ones too. I have received Pm's like that -- just remember anything you say in PM can be reposted all over the net. It may not be "Nice" but it is the net. Be careful who you reveal private info too.
Fisherperson, as far as I can see you revealed NO private info just ask for a lot .. I can understand that you are probably afraid to give details of your stay at Bethel for fear of outing yourself..

Bethelite"s wife storms out of headquarters and leaves him...she was forced into Bethel. My story begins....
by Witness 007 inwe were all in our 20's the 1990's pioneers who still hoped the 1914 generation was for real.
jenny {names changed} loved peter who was younger then me and very handsome.
he wanted to go to bethel since he was a kid.

I would have thought Jenny's mother would have given her a break , at least for a while.
As far as ironing sheets and linens, my mother used to do that and Martha Stewart may still do it. . It is something from another generation. I am not buying anything for the bed that requires I iron it before use.
