by StopTheTears ini prayed that 2 japanese men would come to church today, and thank god that 1 said yes so far.............so please pray he and his friend would come not only to church, but to jesus.

I come from an adventist background and most if not all events about Ellen White are fake. Ive never believed her as supernatural or haveing the 'gift of prophecy and I have had many arguements with ministers in the past. She had one vision where she saw the planets in our solar system described them and the number of moons they had. It so happened the planets had the exact number of moons they had at that time discovered but the information is currently outdated. Did God know how many moons around jupitor or did he only know the number of moons there because the telescopes on earth are not powerful enough?
Ellen white got all her information out of books that were currently available at that time.
The theological truth that did come out of adventist theology is premillienilism because many of the churches believed at that time in postmillienilism which has since been consigned to the scrapheap.

Dr Desmond Ford Former Seventh Day Adventist theologian and professor at Pacific Union College defrocked due to conscientious issues.
Des spoke at this church 6th Sept 2008 so he had already been an apostate for about 28 years when this was recorded at a university SDA church in America . SDAs love their apostates well the ones they agree with anyway.

The Greek Word Parousia! How should it be trasnslated?
by wannabe inthe greek word parousia!
how should it be translated?.
i say, that because it can be applied to presence; which the governing body who does have an ax to grind, would jump on; and apply it, as they have to the thirteen occurrences, where it appears in their new world translation bible.. as i said, it can be applied to their teaching that the christ was invisibly present in the year 1914, but according to the information i found, that application is incorrect.

Gday jgnat, I just thought that link captured the feeling of conservative and was ammusing .
Of course liberals can be those who believe evolution, have women pastors and don't believe the bible is inspired at one extreme but not necessarily. Liberals may be just more open to the community and have a happy vibrant religious community that talks a lot about Jesus and has drums.
