  in matthew, jesus lines out all the signs of the last days.

  he puts a stipulation on it saying that nobody will know the day or the hour.

  does that not mean that nobody could know the last days as well?

  He was not asked about his second coming.

  He was asked about his presents, his first coming if you will.

  That happened in 70AD.

  In the talk he acts as if God had changed. That's what gets me. God doesn't change.

  From the talk at 17:13 "the GB has been told by God Almighty we're making a change " "....Jehovah's making a change"

  The bible teaches us that God does not change.

  Greeks being saved was always God's plan.

  The WTS thinks God changes his plan and they think God is still changing his plans.

  That is just so wrong.

  it seems to me that most, if not all christians are really hung up on sin and redemption from sin and how naturally evil we all are.. my question, and observation is this : i had nothing to do with whatever you say adam and eve did wrong, i have always, throughout my life, treated whoever i came into contact with compassion, respect and love.. i have lived by the golden rule.. not many people, hand on heart, can say that, i can.. so, is your god going to judge me for the "sin" of some mythical forebears of mine ?

  is he going to say that , because i did not believe in him, i willl be judged adversely, even though i lived by the precepts he is supposed to support ?.

  all i can say is, if your god is like that, i refuse to worship or acknowledge him.. and i certainly do not want to get to know him.

  Jesus said that no one comes to him except those called by the Father.

  Natural man, after the fall, is not capable of choosing God.

  In Romans 9

  14 What then shall we say? Is God unjust? Not at all! 15 For he says to Moses,

  “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy,
  and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.” [f]

  16 It does not, therefore, depend on human desire [will] or effort [works], but on God’s mercy.

  "God already set the criteria for our salvation in His Son. in that regard, indeed, our salvation has everything to do with God."

  I think you will find that everything concerning our salvation has to do with God and God alone.

  17 For Scripture says to Pharaoh: “I raised you up for this very purpose, that I might display my power in you and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.” [g] 18 Therefore God has mercy on whom he wants to have mercy, and he hardens whom he wants to harden. 19 One of you will say to me: “Then why does God still blame us? For who is able to resist his will?” 20 But who are you, a human being, to talk back to God?

  Paul doesn't even dignify the question with an answer.

  "Therefore God has mercy on whom he wants to have mercy, and he hardens whom he wants to harden."

  Where is there any reference to man's will?

  God has mercy on whom he wants to have mercy.

  If you have chosen God it is because God chose you first. Even our faith is a gift from God.

  Revelation 4:10

  ......the twenty-four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne, and worship him who lives for ever and ever.

  Revelation 20:10

  And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

  From the interlinear the same words are used in all three places.

  I think it is clear that God lives for ever and ever. So that leaves only one conclusion about the torment.

  Legally, God cannot judge a human twice, for the same crime. Death is the penalty. Those who have died, have paid Adamic penalty.

  (Romans 6:7) . . .For he who has died has been acquitted from his sin."

  In Romans 6:7 the term "died" does not refer to physical death.

  If you think that it does, that only shows you have never read the whole chapter.

  1 What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? 2 By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? 3 Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 4 We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.

  5 For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his. 6 For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, [a] that we should no longer be slaves to sin— 7 because anyone who has died has been set free from sin.

  8 Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. 9 For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him. 10 The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God.

  11 In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.

  died to sin

  baptized into his death

  united with him in a death like his

  our old self was crucified with him

  Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him.

  This is the kind of "died" that verse 7 is speaking of, not physical death.

  " The lake of fire (Second Death) is by individual choice."

  Changing the subject.

  The WTS claims that humans thrown into the lake of fire will be consumed, Annihilated.

  Assuming that that is true, for the moment, what about the devil?

  Revelation 20:10 says that the devil will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

  So even if there is no such thing as Hell for mankind, the bible clearly says there will be an eternal hell for the devil.

  How does this fit with teaching that there is no hell?

  John 5:24-29 24 “Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life. 25 Very truly I tell you, a time is coming and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live. 26 For as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son also to have life in himself. 27 And he has given him authority to judge because he is the Son of Man. 28 “Do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear his voice 29 and come out—those who have done what is good will rise to live, and those who have done what is evil will rise to be condemned.

  I do believe that all will be resurrected but not all will be resurrected to life.
