does anyone on this forum have knowledge about casting out demons or evil spirits?
there's at least two of them that have been harrasing me even before i was a jw.
i recently attended a deliverance church to find some help but it was apparent that the holy spirit was missing from that church.
Luke 10:17 The seventy-two returned with joy and said, “Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name.” 18 He replied, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. 19 I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.

Yes, the power and authority of Christ means that evil can not touch that which belongs to Christ.

I think she is wrong about the bible not being God's written word but I don't hate her for it.
The one thing that stands out, to me, in this thread is when both you and AGuest argue that the bible is not God's written word, by quoting the bible.

Man has his own idea of what is fair. But man is not in charge, God is.

In your understanding Christ DID die for those that would not chose him. In your understanding Christ did die (in part) in vain.
You make God and Christ to be ineffective and inefficient. God and Christ are never ineffectual.
If just one of the persons that Christ die for is not saved, in the end, then Christ is a failure.
But Christ is not a failure and John 10:27 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand.
Romans 8:38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
So if an angel can not separate us from God, how in the world can you think that we can separate ourselves?
Christ died for us, his sheep, and there's nothing we can do to make his sacrifice ineffectual.
