What's wrong with us in South Florida?

i live in broward county, florida...unfortunate harborer of mohammed atta and other terrorists.. next door is (drum roll please)...palm beach county...home of the "we don't know how to vote" crowd.. also next door to (drum roll please)....miami/dade county....the "hanging chad" county.

and i work next door to the country's largest petroleum tank farm (port everglades...which also houses florida power and light company.).

and now, lo and behold, we are in the news again.

ok, well we had 7people total to support the silent lambs.

it was me,valis, my roommate, country girl, and 3others from oklahoma.. we had 2 reports show.

one was a talk radio station, and another was from a tv station---no camera though.. the reporter from channel 8 is wanting us to do a documentary type thing.

i am still shaking from the phone call!!!!!!

i just go off the phone with a reporter from the dallas morning news(paper).

she is a reporter for the religion section of the paper and she was interested and disgusted with what i told her--about the 2 witness policy.

Why keep doing to memorial?

if i recall correctly, jws teach that jesus returned and has been present since 1914. if this is true, then why do they keep observing the memorial?

Can we be gods channel / out WT the WTS?

just wondering.

the wts makes a big fuss about being 'god channel of communication' and the only ones able to provide proper spritual food yada yada yada.

i wonder how easy or difficult it is to some up with something that sounds reasonable and sensible from the bible that the wts has never picked up on?

One instance which they obviously know but almost
never refer is the fact that Jesus himself did not take
the plunge til he was 30yo. An organization that prides
itself on being "Foot Step"tm followers of Jesus, etc &
details the Last Din Din exactly conviently ignores this
fact.

I hope many other comments are made here as I think this
is an excellent thread.

What are JW's embarrased to say to interested ones

my latest addition to my thread "armageddon - jw speculations" got me thinking.

i was talking about jw's, and how they will avoid telling people at the doors that they believe they will be the only ones to survive armageddon.. i know when i was a jw, there was certain things that i was embarrased to tell interested ones about, and prefered to avoid the issue, or prance around it, trying to make it sound less harsh, or make me look like a complete nut.

when i talk to my jw family now, i notice there are certain issues that they will try to deny about the organisation, constantly.
