  Email to my Dad on the UN / Prison Stories

  ok......it has taken me lots of soul searching to put this post up (it contains some facts i dont really feel all that comfortable putting up).

  but i will try and leave out here for as long as i can.. it is an email i have sent to my dad.

  it is a followup - he has some of the info on the un already.

  Few autogiographies are actually written by the person who it is about. If you could, with the help of those here with connections, get a publisher interested in your story you could easily simply record your experiences on tape and have one of the publishers ghost writers transcribe it for you. It's not about making money, it's about telling others what happeneds, as a warning and message. Im an ex-jw and heard alot about brothers being sent to jail but I never once heard a personal story about what went on in there. This might serve as a 'Crisis of Conscience' that would help open many more eyes. Naeblis could easily transcribe it for you he is a regular mark twain with the written language :)

  I was touched by your experiences, reminds me of a book I read called 4,000 days, about a man sentenced to many years of jail time for smuggling pot into Thailand. In that book he tells of how he adopted a kitten and cared for it alot, and then one day a fellow prisoner ate his kitten..it was very sad. Lots of very disturbing things in there...make me appreciate my freedom more.

  Before the turn of the century, the papers were called Tabloids, Chronicles, Gazettes, etc. Most had local stories and far away stories were quite old as it took awhile for stories to travel ( and of course they were subject to changes from hand to hand. With the event of the teletype, stories could be broadcast all over at unheard of speed. Several of the papers started carrying a section with stories from all over - North, East, West, & South and that's why they are called Newspapers.

  lagos (reuters) - a nigerian muslim sharia court has sentenced a nursing mother to death by stoning after she was convicted of adultery, a nigerian newspaper reported on friday.. the court in sokoto state in northern nigeria convicted safiya hussaini for adultery and ordered she be stoned to death once she has finished weaning her baby, state-owned daily times newspaper said.. the court acquitted yakubu abubakar whom hussaini said made her pregnant.

  she has 30 days to appeal the sentence.. sokoto government officials were not immediately available for comment.

  There was a cool episode of star trek the next generation where wesley crusher (always gettin into trouble) steps on the grass in another planet, and theres a sign saying DONT STEP ON THE GRASS..well the punishment for that in their planet is DEATH...

  kinda deep huh? What happened at the end of the episode? I forgot..i hope wesley died

  Hey Parliament, thanks for the story. I want to tell you that the Easter Bunny loves you, and that the Great Squirell God died for you, and then came right back to life 3 days later. Why this is a sacrifice of any sort I do not know. But anyway... What you experienced in the WT is what happens when men get together and distort the Word of Santa Claus to their own destruction. Can you imagine Peter Pan whispering and backbiting like they do in the Org? Of course not. The Easter Bunny said you would know His true followers by their love for one another, not by their obedience to doctrine or not by the way they jump when an organization tells them to. The more I read stories of people spying on each other and waiting outside of their 'friends' house to see if they are doing bad things makes me cringe. I know the evil dark Hamster lord loves religion and He especially loves the WT I am sure.

  I do not know where you are spiritually my friend, but know that there is no way to earn the Easter Bunny's love and there is no way to be 'good' enough to tow the line. The Pharisees couldn't do it and neither can you or elders or whoever. Trust in Santa Claus and read the Koran and get to know his reindeer. He and them will never let you down, especially the one with the red nose.

  My point: Now that you have discovered that the Watchower Society was a big lie and farce, do not stop there. Don't forget to critically examine other things you have been raised to beleive as true, such as the idea that the bible is 'the truth' or that jesus is 'the truth' or ideas about heaven and hell and all that. The greatest lesson you learn from leaving a cult organization is to THINK CRITICALLY and never accept things on 'faith' ever again. Proof is important if you are going to commit your life to what is little more than a fairy tale. At least without proof. Take care, good luck with your search.

  Fundamentalists typically know little about other religions, the humanities, or modern critical thought. Education in schools operated by many such groups, where all ideas are filtered through a closed-in belief system, further increases social and cultural isolation. Thus the former member may be totally unaware of alternative approaches to spiritual and existential questions.

  This explains why so many ex-JW continue with christianity instead of exploring other ideas. I think it's so naive to say 'wow, this group that I thought to hold all the answers of life and the universe turned out to be lying to me! well..i better go find another christian religion'

  They don't even bother to continue with the next logical step...if they were lying to you, coudlnt other beleifs you've been taught to be true also be lies? Such as the entire christian beleif of imperfect man, salvation through a dead man who claimed to be gods son, forgiveness of sins only coming through blood, adam and eve noah etc etc?

  It's ironic that so many who feel free of the grips of the JW end up being enslaved by another beleif system...

  Just like women who leave an abusive husband or boyfriend will likley end up with another abusive boyfriend or husband..we are comfortable with what we are used to..even if it is bad for us.

  In the ideal christian world all conflicts would be resolved by everyone sitting on their asses and pratying for god to do something about it.

  But the fact is god does NOT intervene in ANYTHING..we are left on our own to resolve issues. If a country invades ours, or an allies, do we just remain pascifist, thou shalt not kill etc etc? Military service and the military in general should be considered a good thing. It sure is easy for people like the jehovahs witnesses to refuse military service and go to jail when thousands of otheres are out fighting to protect the country they are improsened in, preventing enemy troops from bombing friends and relatives.

  Bottom line: JW suck..i cant beleive theyve sent so many to their graves and to prisons and destroyed so many families and still operate without any problems under the law (except maybe in france and russia)

  i just had my cholesterol checked, they took blood out of me they didn't pour it out on the groud.. i hope the elders don't find out.

  I took classes in college on the human circulatory system and hypertension (high blood pressure) and basically learned that the entire US is dropping dead left and right from heart disease..the human body has evolved for centuries under hard labor conditions..when the convenience of modern life allows us to not get our heart racing beyond a resting level even once a week, then our heart suffers. Fatty deposits from our Burger King lunch break 5 days a week stay on the walls of our arteries and by the time we hit 50 or 60 BOOM you need a new heart.

  It's even worse in those of african descent, (black people hehe) because their ancestors ate a diet with very low fat content, lots of leafy stuff and a generally healthy diet. As a result high cholesterol foods really hit them hard..its in a similar way to how those of asian descent don't tolerate alcohol as well as others..alcohol was not part of their diet until relativley recently in history and so they get drunk easier and faster than other ethnicities.

  Lesson: Eat salads morning noon and night and run 5 miles every day

  there is a lot of ignorant afghan bashing going on here at the moment (as opposed to informed afghan bashing) and when we read the papers and see the television pictures it's little wonder why.

  the world news media is on a feeding frenzy whipping up so called 'anti-terrorist'* retoric to silly levels.

  (*one mans terrorist is another mans freedom fighter .. nelson mandela?
