1. i just got my guilt trip email from the family as to going to the memorial tonight to "make my mother happy"...anyone else gotten that yet?

i am refusing to go now simply based upon that bs.. .

2. did anyone else see the quote in "us" magazine about how michael jackson is wearing a 5 headed crown because his mother asked him to in support of the jehovah's witness belief about it holding some power for them?

School work

for those of you raised in the freak show known as jw's how many times did you give a school report on abortion or some other topic that you could witness on?.

i can clearly recall in 10th grade giving an oral report on abortion and looking back...my teacher must have thought my parents were insane.

the other kids were clearly uncomfortable which only led me to think that i was in fact doing a great job of spreading the good news.. what subjects or reports did you do that were along these lines?

Two questions

i am trying to log on at work and when i try to retrive the password it gives me an error message flagged to the administrator...???

why can't i get the info emailed to me?.

also is there a way that we can change the password to something easier to remember?

how about if when a member continues to be a jw you shun them?

cut off all communication unless it's an emergency and if they do try and contact you berate them with guilt and fear of death.

i suppose i already do that because i don't really see my parents all that often and when i do i keep it superficial.

my son was born after i faded.

his dad and i always have had christmas (father never was jw).

we celebrate his birthday and we do easter.

i have been thinking about the past more and more since finding this website.

i can recall working in the cornfields one summer and a pentacostal girl was also working.

my mother called and is in town brown nosing with the co's wife.

wants to "stop by and visit" with me this afternoon.

my dad is an elder.

he is one of the most level headed compassionte men you will ever meet.

even though he never received a college education he was kind and understanding.

i found this site by accident while looking for something on the computer for my son.
