  all God's ways are perfect...

  would it have been a perfect idea to give everlasting life to people who were capable of and would sin?...if at least one of the angels did sin?

  God's perfect way will put an end to sin and the consequences of this sin and its "effects" in everyones life...there is a place for EVERYONE.

  for those of us who must walk by sight (for now), there is nothing wrong with using the bible to help learn about christ and god... as long as ... you look to christ first and foremost and over anything else.

  otherwise, i do not see the point in saying you follow christ or you are a christian.

  you didn't answer my question...because my question only required a yes or no answer.

  you said: "Mercy and love are more important than dogma. THAT I learned from Christ and God, and the bible" ...the assurance that you have eternal life in Jesus Christ was taught by the Saviour Himself and is a foundational teaching of the apostles...we can afford to be dogmatic about this fact or we can't say that we trust Him.

  yes, ultimately your salvation is up to Him...but if you personally aren't sure, when He says that you CAN be sure, then you don't even trust Him entirely?...do you?...contradictory words coming out of you right?

  look, I know how difficult it would be for you to turn around right now and face the truth...but He IS waiting for you and even calling you back from going down this road you are on...in His mercy and love He asks that all His disciples talk to you about these things that those who are part of the world wont.(thanks for the effort vander)

  It is because of God's love and mercy that He sent His Son to SAVE us who would believe. It is easy to believe that Jesus is loving and merciful...but His love and mercy are tempered with justice...those who haven't heard the gospel will be shown mercy at His coming...those who have heard the gospel and don't believe it, have rejected it, justice means that they will be rejected too. I'm not making this up, that's why there are scriptures repeating this "theme" and that is why there are so many scriptures regarding Jesus' ATONING death and that we can count on it for our salvation. *sigh*...I love you, Tammy.

  God gave free will to all His creatures with a reasoning ability. because snakes are more clever than other animals in that they will lie in wait for their prey doesn't mean that they have free will in the same sense that we do...they only eat when they are hungry.

  satan has free will too and he is always seeking out his food to devour...he needs a body more willing to give in to desires of the flesh.(pride is a desire of the natural or flesh man. 2 corinthians 12:20)

  dear Tammy...

  the scripture in john 8:24 says "Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins."

  do you believe this is true for you and that is why you put your faith in Jesus?

  was it your "intuition" that told you that if you did not believe that Jesus was who He said He was, that you would die in your sins?

  I ask you this because "intuitively" this dogmatic statement doesn't sound merciful, forgiving, loving or patient does it?(that is why many people balk at the teaching of it)

  is it possible that you are mistaking your "intuition" or conscience for the convicting Holy Spirit of God?
