  Why are Spanish congregations more zealous?

  i was thinking of ths question the other day, and wondered if any of you here may have an answer.

  why is it that spanish brothers and sisters have more zeal, than non-spanish congregations?

  our kingdom hall has 1 spanish speaking congregation, the one i am in is english.

  Hi Ballistic.

  Yes there are DIFFERENCES between countries in Europe. adspecially between Eastern counreies and western countries ,like say Germany and Poland.

  Hi Ballistic.

  Im not trying to make anyone uncomfortable,I dont stereotype,but Im not the type to walk on eggshells in this politically correct madhouse either.

  Sure SOME families are falling apart in Europe but no where like in North America,also the breakdown of the family unit in Europe only started when things got North Americanized,the value,s (or lack therof) rubbed off over time.The MacDonalds popped up all over the place,(versus the fine dining that Europeans enjoy)the 2 hour lunches declined and Europeans were more in a rush.

  That statement may tick of some people.

  Again I dont stereotype but I dont walk on eggshells either.

  There IS a BIG difference in Europe and North America,thats just fact.

  There are different cultures all across the world.Thats just a fact.

  I happen to LOVE the differences!

  I LOVE diversity and variety!

  I find that strange Solidad as Europeans and Spanish folk are much more warm and family orientated than North Americans.Its the culture.Oh well.

  You are absolutely right and heres why.

  Europeans are much more close knit and family orientated than North Americans to begin with,they are also more hard working as they have been through things that we cant conceive.(two world wars,etc,)

  I was raised European,I am born and raised Canadian but I have European family.They are hard working,honest and very hospitable.Eating is a social event in itself.If you come over expect a HUGE plate put in front of you as a show of hospitality! :) They would take you in if you were homeless.

  In one word its CULTURE!

  When I was falling away and going inactive I started going to the Spanish congregations,I had people fighting for me to sit with them from day one!

  Not so in the english speaking congregations.

  My city is FAMOUS for being cold,snooty,uppity,materialistic,and sticking with their own clicks.

  Not so with the spanish folks.

  VERY warm caring zealous folks.

  i would like to thank william powell,jgnat,rabbit and shera for making me feel welcome my first day here and not jumping to any paranoid conclusions because i have lurked here for a while and had to change my old alias because for some reason it would not log in.lol.

  ( i got some very strange responses my first day here).

  i was also the laugh of the place for a few people here because i accidentally resurrected a very old post (couldnt see the itty bitty tiny numbers of the date)i guess they did not notice (except for one) that i was a newbie and i am getting use to the features here.i guess they forgot what its like to be new.. .

  Also,,,,the emoticons do not work.

  When I click on it it is downloading but its blank!

  There is nothing wrong with my computer and my java works for every other forum out there.

  Im sure having a hard time with this forums features.

  Thanks Stinkypants.

  While Im still learning the features of this place(obviously) I am having problems with a couple of things and for the life of me I cant figure out how to do it.This forum is WAY different than the ones I participate in.

  1#-How do you get notified when someone replies to your post so I dont have to keep checking?

  2# I still CANNOT see any of my threads,they do not show up in the active topics section or friends section(where I,ve posted) I have to click on my profile and click on my post history and topic history to see my threads and who responded to my posts.Its driving me nuts,LOL

  Thanks Sassy but I dont understand WHY resurrecting an old post makes everyone so suspicious and the poster the target of ridicule.
  

  Why does it make you wonder?

  I dont understand,really.

  In our other forum where I moderate sometimes someone will resurrect and old (but VERY good) post and people THANK them.

  Here it seems taboo.LOL

  I dont get it,plus mine was a mistake anyway,I dont make it a HABIT of resurrecting old posts. ON the contrary,I want the LATEST gossip,LOL
