I still think that young elder is the smart one here. He fooled the rest into thinking that this congregation of senior citizens is placing 7000 magazines a month so that they can donate more money that he can easily siphon from to pay his mortgage and car note while still covering the cost of the magazines actually being used -

Unfortunately I was an elder for a decade and prior I was a literature servant and I have never heard of anyone not receiving literature until a certain amount of money was paid.
I remember living in jersey city and driving in to the branch with the literature and magazine request form for the Congo and getting it filled in an hour or so in the late 80's to 90's without ever being shorted because the amount of our donations was not enough to cover what we requested. If that was the case we would have never had any literature back then

Maybe the elders are trying to skim money off the top and they are telling everyone to contribute more lol. At .50 a mag and saying your Congo should be sending a minimum of $3500 a month that is 7000 magazines a month.
How many publishers do you have? This request sounds like something your body of elders wants to help them make car payments lol.
Outlaw when did this arrangement of only getting the number of magazines you paid for come back into / go into practice I have never heard of this being a rule. Even when I was at bethel I specifically remember the congregation list being fulfilled as it was on the literature request.

So did he say the branch will send you exactly the amount of magazines that you pay for based on a .50 cent per magazine rule? So if you send in let us say 100 for world wide work then you will only get 200 total mags?

When I was still there our congregation never sent enough money to cover magazines yet we always got what we ordered.
The only time the order was reduced is when we decided to do so or when it was done based upon the number of publishers When did this change in the last 3 years??? Lol

Matbe there is another reason this is happening. I can't imagine the bozos that pack the magazines in boxes have a list of which congregations are not make the proper amount of donations so they give them 25 percent fewer mags.
I can surely be wrong but this sounds like maybe he elders are just deciding not to send the full order

Music
by Mr.logic inwe would all agree that music whatever its form or genre, speaks to us, maybe a favorite childhood nursery rhyme, maybe dads music,etc.
a lot of us where shut down to such wordly things, some were not.
music has always helped me in hard times, that song, that artist, that let's get moving stuff, what speaks to you, its not a cure all, but what do you like?

When I was waking up this music spoke to me in a way nothing else could granted I always loved this genre even as a witness, but during my exit a number of these songs and artist spoke to me in a way nothing else could.
