who was johannes greber?
johannes greber was an ex-catholic priest who took it upon himself to translate his own version of the new testament.
to aid him in this endeavor, he contacted the "spiritworld" to reveal the proper remderings of the scriptures he sought.
Thanks RevFrank

just curious,if anyone dosent mind sharing..myself,id been out in the real world for 11 years, married twice, etc etc,and the 'trio of guys in bad suits' came over one night and told me that i was being charged w/adultery and fornication..my then boyfriend, and i laughed so hard that we forgot to sic the dog on 'em...funny,cause one of the guys id lived with,a few years prior,an elders son,not baptized, but in good standing, never got even so much as a stern talking to..i remember one of the last meetings i went to as a teenager.the 'trio" came to my parents house and said that i wasnt to come to meetings braless anymore, that it was disturbing the brothers and making them have impure thoughts..and that by me being in a band,in the 'world',i was opening myself to satan...what a bunch of weirdos.especialy since one of my "fondest" memories is of being out in feield service, alone w/an elder, and him having his pants open in the car,and his penis sticking out the whole time.i was like 10,and wasnt sure exactly what the issue was, guess i was a bit naive, but he kept touching it and looking at me..this was a big cheese elder at the time too..very highly thought of and all..again,what a bunch of wierdos....
I don't know what I was disfellowshipped for...they didn't tell me.
I, too, was visited by 3 elders years after I had faded away. I was too ignorant to know that this constituted a Judicial Committee and I was on trial. LOL Even though it was common knowledge that I was a heretic, believing that God was just as "female" as "male" and such, they had never bothered about me until after I was in a serious car accident and my JW mother took me in while I recuperated.
They didn't like that we were getting too close, I guess. Plus I had seperated from my husband who then divorced me and went back to the KH.
In accordance with our brief conversation, I assume they DFed me either for telling them, in response to their questions, that I did not believe the organization's faithful & discreet slave delusion or my assurance that my ex was scripturally free to re-marry.
~Merry (still in shock over reading the field service with elder bit)
the watchtower uses bible verses to enforce their shunning policy so that the rank and file won't talk to ex-j.w.
's and therefore find out why they left the org.. also, they use verses to stop the rank and file from looking at "apostate" literature and research the watchtower policies.. my question.... what are some of the doctrine that could be used to enforce "new" watchtower policies?
policies that should be in place, but are not?.
Hmmm...I'm not sure what's wrong with us, but I understood you poifickly well, Hubert, the first time through even

i know i'm not jwd's most popular participant but even i look at this place as a means of support sometimes.
i just wanted to say that this morning my father died of a heart attack while in field service.. i am on my way to new mexico with my daughter.
as some of you know i am df'd so you know how that goes when attending a jw funeral.
(((((Eduardo))))) I wish you strength and comfort.

I'll take a stab at it, Hubert...
Opening an old Examining the Scriptures Daily, I discovered the next new light: All male JWs who are married to non-JW women must divorce them forthwith a la Ezra chapter 10 and send them and their children by them away.

( le 17:15,16 ) as for any soul that eats a body (already) dead.
or something torn by a wild beast , whether a native or an.
alien resident , he must in that case wash his garments and .
LOL I met a guy once whose nickname was Roadkill. He was known for eating found dead animals on or by the road. But I don't think he was Jewish or Witnish. He offered me some roasted owl-heart but I declined... And WELCOME btw

i've heard that this is somewhere in the magazines, but i have no clue where.
also, does anybody know where (or even if) the watchtower ever fed off the idea that we only use a fraction of our brains, an idea that has proven to be false?
i heard so many people talk about this in discussion, but have been unable to locate it in a publication.
About Peter Russell, from Wikipedia:
Peter Russell (born May 7, 1946) is a British author of books on consciousness, spiritual awakening and their role in the future development of humanity. He has degrees in physics, psychology, and computer science from the University of Cambridge (UK) and has studied eastern and western philosophies of the mind.
In The Global Brain Awakens (2000), an update of The Global Brain (1983), Russell's most popular book, he opens with part one on the Gaia Hypothesis. In part two, he discusses orders of evolution going from the evolution of the early universe during the Big Bang, through biological evolution, and finishing with "the emerging social superorganism." In part three, he discusses "inner evolution" and the "high-synergy society". In some ways, this book echoes the optimistic dot-com zeitgeist.
In From Science to God, Russell evokes Thomas Kuhn's paradigm shift to argue that science is on the threshold of a new metaparadigm. Russell disputes scientific materialism and says science will come to "embrace spirit and -- dare we say it -- God". 1 He likens current efforts to explain consciousness in terms of neuropsychology to the convoluted epicycles before the Copernican revolution in astronomy. Russell's views are in sharp contrast to materialists like Daniel Dennett, author of Consciousness Explained. Depending on one's point of view, Russell's perspective could be argued as either protoscientific or pseudoscientific.
In the field of creativity enhancement, Russell has advocated the use of mind maps. [edit]
