  WT Library PDA edition and other "holy" stuff

  i am the secretary in the congregation (don't ask) and i wanted to share with you guys the "meat in due season": .

  starting jan 2009, the field service report can be sent until the day 20th of the month, instead of the 6th of each month as it is now.

  but, like the letter says: "it is not necessary to announce this change to the congregation".

  Ya they announced that there's be a PDA version of the library but only in English and because of this added feature, the CD may be coming a little later than usual. The letter gave the impression it'll still need some work.

  Just get the BOE to OK an assistant for you. Like I, was for our Secretary. As his monkey I'd have the priviledge of all the useless tasks, like transferring over the field service report numbers from the slips onto the publishers' cards, filling out cards for attendance of meetings, and even faxing the numbers in.

  I hear you now log into their website and punch in the numbers for them. Maybe your monkey can be assigned an account for that too.

  Then, they switched fixations, this time to the jewish, jesus. Italians are funny, like that. To this day, still fixated, they have the pope.

  And some of us Italians fixate on other divine beings...like Gina Lollobrigida.

  Saoshyant is an interesting parallel. Not too sure how his mother sitting in a lake plays into this symbolically, but its no surprise that this monkey can appreciate her being described as not having associated with men. Its easy to see though how some people can begin to stretch things.

  I myself briefly wondered at the coincidental ( Or isn't it? ) 30 years time that passed before the mom taking the dip and the beginning of the Final Battle.

  Blood Issue took my mom last night

  after years of fighting a physical disability that ended in kidney failure and several bouts of respiratory/cardiac arrestmy mom landed in the hospital last week.

  the doc's said she needed heart surgery and kidney transplants but before they could operate they need to get her blood count back up.

  it had fallen well below what her body could naturally restore on its own she she needed transfusions.

  Two White Horses In Revelation

  the society teaches that the rider on the first white horse (rev 6) pictures the enthroned jesus christ riding to victory since 1914. this rider is pictured as having only one crown.. after researching this, i've come to the same conclusion of many others that this rider pictures religious deception.

  my premise is that jesus christ had already conquered as per matt 28:19, ephesians 1, and revelation 1-3, hence no need for further conquest.. the society also teaches that the rider on the second white horse (rev 19) is jesus christ.

  i agree with that because there in revelation it plainly states that this rider is called the word of god.

  Interesting couple of ideas there. The distinction between the garland and the diadems crown for example which I can't for the life of me recall being mentioned during JW book studies. (Then again I was usually in my own little world).

  Another idea I've come across about the white horse (among the four), is that it could represent a coming threat to Rome from the Parthians. Parthian archers were supposedly renowned at the time, as well as their often riding white horses.

  Are the gospels just midrash?

  some responses to this common claim gleaned from internet sources;.

  the idea the gospels are simply midrash has several problems associated with it.

  one is that the genre as such did not exist yet in judaism as the midrashim are a few centuries later.

  though it works terribly with jwd, i have found this browser to be much faster and nimble than most i have tried.

  it's problems here on jwd have always forced me to avoid it, since jwd was a big part of my internet experience.

  now that i am growing away from things jw related, and know that jwd will not be open that much longer, i have tried it again.

  i am thinking about getting one...so many features it is mind boggling...can you believe the camera can be used as a bar scanner while shopping and will instantly tell you what the item is...offer user reviews...and give you the best prices in the country on the item?

  ?...including even used item prices on amazon??

  Haven't seen the G1 around my parts yet (Southern Ontario, Canada). But it does look very promising and isn't as locked down as the iPhone.

  Good thing they fixed that issue with being able to execute OS commands at the root level when text-messaging. How did that slip by developers? (I believe that was the firmware R29 or R30 fix).

  Since viruses actually replicate themselves by taking over the transcription machinery of their host, I'm not at all surprised by the findings (its interactions with transcription factors). So lets assume that they've found some functions for even up to 50% of "Junk" DNA.

  How does that invalidate the basic premise of this entire thread? That one can look at the insertion points of ERVs in different genomes and can draw out lines of descent matching what one would expect with evolutionary models?

  there have been a few times in criminal history when a person was charged with killing a woman, and an additional murder charge was added on for killing her fetus if she was pregnant.

  seems to be a prosecutor's paradise.

  Exactly. Even if one wishes to use consciousness as a criterion, there can be some discussion. Barring other anomalies that may negatively impact on the quality of life for the organism, at what level of awareness does it become ethically objectionable for us to end that lifeform's development?

  The CNS forms relatively early on in the first trimester. So it gets very difficult fairly quickly.
