At least one evolutionary scientist came pretty close to saying that.

Is God dirt?
by MsMcDucket inlegolas, got me to thinking on this.
genesis: so god created man in his own image, in the image of god he created him; male and female he created them.... by the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return.
ok, he created man in his own image and man was made from dirt?

What kind of things did you do when going door to door to add time?
by whyizit ini was intrigued by an earlier post.
the point was made that the jws are going door-to-door to meet a quota and are not really concerned about the people they are witnessing to, but only in saving their own butts.
has anyone ever had a non-jw friend and asked them if they could talk about jehovah for a while to them, in order to fill the time they need?

God led me to the JW congregation.
by jw ini rented a house in the late !970's and the contents in the home were given to me.. it happened to be books: ( making my life happy, revelation, children bible stories, listening to the great teacher ) i was enjoying the reading.. -----------------------------------.
a few years later began to notice awake magazines in doctor offices, and other public places and read them and enjoyed them.. ------------------------------------.
late 1980's my 7th son was 2 yrs.

I know the history of the bible , I have done tons of research independent of the JW congregatin as directed by the scriptures.
You haven't found anything about how biblical passages were edited by several people with specific agendas? About contradictions that belie it being without error? Nothing that has made you wonder its claim to divine inspiration?

!!!!!!!!!! New Elder Video !!!!!!!!!!!!!
by SickofLies inthis time they really did call the police on me lol!
they backed out though, they called, then canceled the call after a while and the police never came to charge me with recording them, pitty really.. http://www.quad-central.com/~dan2007.
there is the link, i was unable to edit the audio file like i usually do to take out the blank spaces and amplify the volume, so if someone could do that with the wav file on the server that would be great!.

Having dialup sucks....especially with this buggy "netonhold" software that gives me almost 100% false incoming calls that repeatedly end up in my losing my connection.
But even though I didn't get to enjoy the ending yet, I just want to say great job SOL. It'll plainly show to everyone just how ridiculous these JCs are and how Mommy and her pets really don't care about truth. Just shutup and work slave.

You really didn't get much of a catholic instruction then. That was the point!
So do you think that the jws are really teaching you alot about the bible? If you do, then think again. I suggest you go to your local library and see if you can find something like the Cambridge History of the Bible.

I shared this part of my life in kind. As a child I was raised Catholic and I never once seen a Bible and it was never mentioned. It is what it is! You really didn't get much of a catholic instruction then. I went to a catholic elementary and secondary school and we always had Bibles in religion class. I mean no disrespect, but I think that you're letting a combination of limited experience, coincidence and superstition get the better of you. I'm sure there are alot of nice people in your congregation. I'm sad that so many nice people are being sucked dry and mistreated by the WatchTower higherups. I hope that you fare better than many of them.

The Earliest Trinity Statements
by Amazing1914 in[note: i am not promoting a religion, a church system, nor a set of beliefs.
i am merely reporting history as i find it.
the early, ante-nicene church fathers spent much time fighting heresies.

Lilly I am not saying that Jesus is equal to the Father but a god
Doesn't this sound like polytheism or henotheism to you? Maybe thats a large part of why they came up with the trinity.

1. If they don't ask you whether you're recording again, then its going to be a very curt meeting, where they'll basically say "See ya
latersoon (its nearer than you think don't ya know) with the rest of the bird food at the Big A".If they do ask, then the meeting needs to go on a bit further for them to find the last few nails to close the coffin. Bring two recorders.

The Origin-of-Life Foundation, Inc. The Secret $1,000,000 Prize
by Deputy Dog infrom http://www.scienceagainstevolution.org/v9i11f.htm
the secret $1,000,000 prize
one of the best kept secrets of science is the origin of life prize sponsored by the origin of life foundation, inc. when we first ran across their web site (www.lifeorigin.org), we thought that the offer of one million dollars to anyone who could propose a plausible theory for the origin of life was just a slick creationist trick for showing that the emperor had no clothes.

Midget, Many of the the problems (chemical and mathematical) still remain for abiogenesis even if the possibility of numerous other locations in the universe are taken into account. The presence of some very simple organic precursers in space helps very little, since the main problems involve other things (such as assembly, functional sequencing, etc, etc.).
Well on the one hand: the mathematical and chemical hurdles of the very first steps can be met with the right set of environmental conditions. Its plausible that other worlds may have settings that are more condusive to such early stages. Amino acids have been detected deep within meteorites for example. Assembly of protein or nucleic acid chains can be done with straightforward condensation reactions. Catalytic RNAs/ribozymes demonstrate how one molecule can act as both self replicating code and enzyme, thereby eliminating the chicken and egg dilemma of which came first the code or the enzyme that replicates it. Thats a significant start.
On the other hand: I have to agree with you that we're still in the dark on several very crucial steps. Going from the RNA world to the DNA world means a slew of other necessary enzymes and the genetic code for them. Then there's the matter of how metabolic pathways became established (along with the archived code for it) . But we at least have some tantalizing indicators and leads that can bring us closer to some answers. The missing pieces to the puzzle may be out there. Or not. I simply think all this extra bit of information means that this is still an option worthy of consideration and so one doesn't have to automatically cry out "creator god" by default.
