Still new, but getting better...
by aka_duffy ini had a little problem with the laptop the past week and could not get this page to load.
i want to thank everyone for their welcomes and apologize for not responding individually to each of you.
in wandering around here, all the years of feeling so alone, so bad because i felt and thought at right angles to what was coming off the stage have started to fade.

A little more about me; lived in the Rogue valley in southern Oregon in the mid 70's to the mid 80's and now find myself in Bellingham WA.

JW fun is at an all-time low
by Nosferatu inthere used to be much more enjoyable things in the jw religion that would give you some relief from the recycled information.
remember when there were two dramas at the conventions?
remember at the meeting, instead of having a public talk, a missionary would show slides from his recent trip, or there would be a movie shown from the wts?.

I remember the skating parties. (Did I ever skate with any of you in Grant's Pass back in the late 70's-early 80's?) You were always glared at if you took a sister's hand during the darkened and dreaded "couple's skate" So when the skating was shut down for the reasons mentioned earlier...that's about when I went straight from trying to hold a girl's hand in a darkrned (but public) place to heavy petting in backseats and within six months-sex! I'm sure some were drawing a line to connect the dots on my road to fornication but none saw the shutting down of our every other week of enjoyment as a link.

what is the weirdest counsel you ever received?
by nb-dfed inmy husband and i had a committee meeting because of underage drinking.
when he was being counseled, the p.o.
told my husband that he needed to make me wear different clothes to the meeting because it made some of the brothers unable to concentrate.

It wan't necessarily counsel, but I spent a couple of weeks sleeping in my car because the elders felt it would build character. My wife had recently left me for another man and without her contributions to the household, I lost the apartment. I had friends who let me put my stuff in their leaky garage, but I had no place to go, evidently I was labeled "do not help" by those who were supposed to be shepherding me.

Thanks. Coffee is my main beverage, only because i can't afford Portwood to drink it on a daily basis. The physical and the chronological; ...I'm fourty-two, divorced after ehh, four years of marriage, I have a son with whom I'm forging a relationship. I mostly look like my icon, although I shaved the goatee. I've moved just about as far north as I can go in the Continental US from southern Oregon by way of California. Liking it up here. Pretty laid back. I was baptised on 6.6.76 in Medford Oregon at the age of fourteen. It's late and I should close down my shop but I'll be happy to fill in any details and answer questions till the cows come home.
